  1. We'll see if He dominates the middle Friday night, he's lining up across from a kid that's been waiting to prove himself all year. We'll if the 16 year old backup can take on 30 year old Brown! And the article mentions how well rounded Brown is academically. Well the kid lining up across from him will be on the field before the game to be recognized as a National Merit Scholar. And has already been accepted at TAMU. We will just have to see how it turns out.
  2. If no one noticed, Jr Dedrick Linton stepped up and had a pretty darn good game, against a pretty good defense. He carried 11 times for 134 and averaged 12.2 yd/carry as well as a TD. Also lost a key lineman in the first series to an injury, and the back up stepped right in and never missed a beat. He will likely have to start against Malcolm Brown next week as well, because the ankle looked pretty serious. Nothing was broke but there may well be some ligament damage.

None the less this is the game of the year for the Bears, every year this is a war on the field. It is usually won and lost in the trenches, it will be the game to see next week. Make no bone about it, this is big. Field goals will be key, and Will Fox has a great leg on him. 21-24 Bears!!!

Mark, what did you think about Malcolm's 51 yd TD reception?  Not bad for a 290 pound beast!  He ways running around, through and over defenders.  Lol.

I personally like the way he "beech-slapped" that stiff armed that safety on the long run. Chronicle has a great shot of it.

  5. Tye is much more mobile and is a pure run and gun QB. Tyler (Bolifing) is a great touch passer and much more of a threat on the deep ball. Tyler lacked the mobility, but made up for it with his quick reads and quick release. As far as comparing Leroy (Dobbins) to Tevin (House) apples and oranges in a way. Tevin is a straight ahead runner, and takes more punishment, Leroy has such great vison and the ability to turn cut and slash. But you are correct, not a big loss between the two. Leroy had a much better O-line than Tevin has been dealt, but they are coming around. The test is coming down the road in the 17-4A, lots of great defense in there and some pretty darn good offenses as well. Our Defense is really turning the corner, the LB's are sticking the runner and making good reads (even with Henderson Watkins out with an injury), when Hendu comes back in another week, the middle will be the OK Corral; however they have yet to see a really good play-action offense, soon to change. We have solid shut down corners, and Tevins brother Herbert House, will lay the wood to anyone coming over the middle, from his strong safety position. So we will have to see how we shape up in the coming weeks, but thus far it's looking pretty good.
  6. Well the bears played a pretty good away game against a nearby 5A Lion squad. Tevin House ended up with 291 yards and three TD's, and the Bears had 558 yards of total offense, holding the Lions to 324 yards of total offense. Really wasn't as close as it looked, the Bears rand the twos starting halfway thru the 3rd quarter, and all of the 4th. Over all it was a good win. But there is still work to do before we take on the rest of the District 17-4A. O-line was much improved this week, we had some issues holding on to the ball, four fumble could have very well ended up TD's. -MFB
  7. And Just an FYI The two's started going in with 5 min left in the 1st half. And then once Crosby started scoring, they ran the ones back in to try and shut it down.

As far as the Tackle, I was speaking about the Bears Left side OL. The much overhyped left tackle, who barely played last year because he was on the twos, yet every retarded sports writer keeps hyping him as the next coming, and he can't block my 80 year old Aunt. Lost all respect for the Dave Campbell bunch when they started that hype job.
