This team lacks speed, but they play with a lot of heart.  They maybe the 2nd best team in your district, after Brenham. [/quote] It looks like a 3 horse race at the moment, but Stratford could jump in too.  Some big games to open district in 2 weeks.  All 4 of those teams going at it. Brenham @ Magnolia West Montgomery @ Stratford I agree, MW is a very dangerous team, but I don't see Brenham underestimating them.  From what i've seen, Bell is a good coach, and they also have a pretty good safety, in addition to that HB.  I hope they can get settled back in their homes before we play.

Back on topic, the Hill has looked good so far, so I expect the BH/Dayton game to be alot closer this year.

While Brenham is 3-0 all time against Magnolia West, the Mustangs have improved every year.  Last year, MW made the playoffs for the first time in their 3 year existence, but were beat 55-0, by Brenham in the district opener.  They return a HB that had 1,800+ yards, and a group that has played together for a while now.  The Mustangs run the slot-T, and depend on good blocking and misdirection plays.  It will be the Mustang's potent rushing attack vs the Cub's juggernaut defense.....  Something has got to give! IMO, LT is the best team in Texas.  They just demolished a good Westlake team, which is 5A.  They did the same 2 years ago, when Westlake was a state finalist and took Euless Trinity to OT if I remember correctly.  Show me another team that has won 4 straight rings with 3 different coaches.  Stuff like that just doesn't happen, and the way things look, they will have their 5th straight this year.

[/quote] No, I won't be surprised, because I expect to get Montgomery's best shot, as we do with every team, every year.  I know about their 3 stand out players, (HB House, WR Gassaway and WR Peppe) all 3 are great players for the Bears.  Their defense isn't bad either.  They've done a great job reloading, and if any team in our district has a chance of beating us, it's them.  With that being said, I don't think Montgomery has ever beat us.  As for Lamar, a large portion of Lamar's rushing came on a 59 yard TD run.  Without that, they were held to under 200 yards rushing.

Cougtalk, our first team defense has only given up 2 TD's all year.  I think we'll be ok.  We're use to the post season.  Besides, we've almost put up 40 a game.
