1. Any WOS fans remember the name "Raul Ponce" ? The kid who knocked you guys out of playoffs in '05 from Huffman.  ;) One heck of a kicker. How long was the FG that won the game? That was a GOOD game, though.  ;D
2. Yes, and Somewhat. That side of the lake is like that big older brother you rarely see, but when you do, he outweighs you by 100lbs and picks on 'ya Analogies aside, too many penalties. too many turnovers. We couldn't read their quarterback or passing game for anything. In any case, our boys will be hitting the grass hard this week, District is only a week away.
3.

Think I'll take in a late game on ESPN: UTEP at UH. My WO-S Mustangs are off tonight. Until next week!  :)
GO MINERS!
LOL beat by my Rice last year. Only kidding mate  :D UTEP is looking up this year.
4. Next week. Two 2-0 teams. One of us has to lose. You guys think the offensive powerhouse of Huffman can compete with Kingwood's new[ish] 4A team? Post 'them predictions up. I'm a little biased but... Huffman 28 K-Park 26 ^_^
5. going to go with lumberton, but I'm biased, BH is our ex-rival  ::)
6. Too many PNG fans on here.  :P PNG 21, Crosby 28. That's right, I said it.  :D
7. Who do you have? We lost to 'em last year in the last second, they threw a pass and ran it in. I think we've got the strength this year, but who knows about Kashmere, they always seem to be quick on their feet. I don't keep up much with in-city schools. Kashmere - 14 Huffman - 35
8. Ike as in, Hurricane Ike? Went straight through Houston 2 years back. We were actually in the eyewall, got that whole 30mins of calmness. Players and band missed out on around 1.5-2wks of practice due to evacuation/power loss/damage/etc.
9. I'm just hoping our boys can keep their heads after such a shutout. Stay humble or be humbled... if need be I can see that experience coming from Kingwood Park pretty soon.  :-[
10. I wasn't aware they had a D1 signed kid. Well, one of their major problems was reading huffman's secondary. they threw too many interceptions and made silly passes from both HJ QBs. Both of us surely need work, though.
11. Felt almost embarrassed for HJ watching this one. Witwer was too much, so it seems for HJ.  ::)
12. Yeah, Huffman never gave up. The 54-35 margin could have been worse, great job from both teams.
13.
im saying Huffman by a long field goal from Desi [/quote Reminds me of the 2004 year Huffman beat WOS in the Astrodome with a field goal from Raul Ponce.
14. I'll be at the WOS vs Coldspring in Huffman on Friday, Then over to Silsbee vs. Huffman on Saturday... seeing as how I play there.
15.

Fri. 7:30 in Huffman.
You ever think that there would be a playoff game in Huffman Texas? Ha There is a GOD.  ;D
Haha, I agree. But with capacity at like 4500 and a nice turf field, It should suit WOS and Colspring well.
16. Meh, I don't think it's going to be a slaughter or anything. Huffman has a weak defence at times, but when their offence with Joel, Casey, and DeBerry come out to play, we may have a game on our hands. Still though, I'll take... Silsbee 28 Huffman 14
17.
Where & When do Silsbee and Huffman play?
That's what I'm wondering. Possibly SHSU like last year?
18. Hmmm.. I think it'll be a close one. Too close to call I think. Good luck to both, though.
19. I'm gonna say Silsbee. Huffman looked like they played great tonight, but then again it is only Tarkington.  :-\
