Going to 8th 5-5
I went to bed last night thinking we won 6-5. I get up this morning and we lost 8-5. This is like something out of the Twilight Zone! A triple play!
If you did not see it happen in this game you probably never will...Crazy game...
It really does not matter who you beat early in the season, as long as you beat the teams in your district. The rest is just "practice" in a sense. GCM has beaten the teams they should have, in a fashion they should have. The rest will take care of itself.
R yall doing the summer thing this year...Georgia
We will try. It all depends on if Obama gives us a bailout. ;D
HeHeHeHe that is funny...If not we will keep ya posted like last year....We do have yall in football next year.. preseason
Yeah like that would ever work....The Bulldogs and the cards "R" ALWAYS IN THAT BOAT....But we seem to like the outcome of district play...
Your absolutely right....But if we can put a list of who they lost too it would give a strength of schedule?????
That would be nice....But I do enjoy watching the Dogs & Cards beat the big Schools in non district... The cards always give us a tuff game I think it helps both of us ....Not going to say names but some of these teams want to go in to district looking better than they realy "R".

 7.
No doubt...Both fielders went for it and both had a shot at it.  Lucky for us, one of them came up big, with a great catch.  We have 8 returning starters, including 3 all-americans and stellar pitching.  Im told that the Bulldog rotation is pretty amazing itself.  I know they return a great team too.  I dont know how the chronicle didnt rank yall in the area.  Personally, i think yall belong somewhere between 6 and 10 in the state.  Thats just me though... [/quote We returned 7 starters and the entire pitching staff and added a couple pitchers .... It don't really matter about the state rank ...out of site ...out of mind if ya know what I meen...

BH is getting alot of respect. I don't think BH is at the point to know how good or bad they are going to be this year :) I hope it falls out that way, but GCM and KP have their entire teams back while BH returns 1-2 starters.
That's what I'm saying. K Park, more than GCM, is getting NO respect for what they have accomplished as a program in 2 years. They tied BH for 1st place in 19-4A last year for goodness sakes and they have the ENTIRE team returning! BH has a solid program, but to have them ranked higher than K Park IN PRESEASON is a joke.
I am not someone who posts this baffles me. I agree with KP, but GCM has not proven themselves yet. KP on the other hand has and deserves to be there as BH. GCM has not even made it to the playoffs yet. So why should they even be in there.  Prove yourself first!  Just my outlook on it!  It must be who you know and not what you have accomplished! They haven't "accomplished" playoffs yet.
In year 1 GCM missed the playoffs by one out! That was with 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. 8 of 9 primary starters return. Why would you not rank them in a PRE-SEASON poll? Why would you even have BH in the conversation at this point based on what they have coming back THIS YEAR? I think GCM proved themselves worthy of consideration last year, now we'll see what happens this year.
BH has always had a strong program and has alway seemed to be a leading team, so why do you not think they deserve the respect to think they could be a top contender. They will always compete and be successful.  As for GCM you can say only by 1 out, but that is baseball, a lot of teams can say well it was only by 1 out, run, ect... They will be a good team this year and will probably get a playoff spot no doubt, but to be placed in a poll over other teams in the HOUSTON AREAthat have alot of returning players and made the playoffs.  Especially in that district!  Example I not sure how you guys could exclude out Crosby, possibly CE king, and put GCM ahead of those. Each team has a lot of starters coming back and made it to the playoffs.  To each there own.  Although I have enjoyed the discussions you all have and sometime find it amusing, but enjoyable. Good Stuff  keep it coming. And good luck to GCM and the others on that list. It is going to be a great season!!! Let the good times roll ;D
Sometimes it is a game of inches for example us (Nederland) and brenham what a 3rd game, left fielder all or nothing making that great diving catch in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs ..it gets by him and it was to the fence tie game maybe even a win for Nederland ...But that is all a part of the great game of baseball..That was a great game I know BrenhamFan agrees..I hope to see ya there again BrenhamFan good luck ;)
 9.
How come noone will ansmer how the scrimmage went.
Nederland beat WB don't know the score but we scored more then they did ..Rains pitched ..looked good ..hammond also pitched looked ok...over all looked sloppy in the field Ned missing Sonnier & Bellow.. not saying  that would change the outcome but it could not hurt.. Lufkin is good they can hit and pitch and they did not make many mistakes in the field ..Nederland made some mistakes against Lufkin that cost 3 runs or more ... and that happen more than once...2 out mistakes kill ya...Smith.. Brady.. Brown .. Fontenot and I think Laird pitched against Lufkin...Not a whole lot of hitting going on..We needed phatmack to do stats and he was not there... We will be ready ;)
 10.
I guarantee, scrimmaging the Lufkin Hi Panthers is a good more for any team!  That is one-proven-baseball-program....
They can swing it and throw it ....very good high school team...I think their ace pitcher may have broken his hand he took a very hard line drive off his hand...I hope he recovers that guy could pitch..
 11. Is game still Tuesday ......Or did they move it for Monday because of weather...

 15. I don't post much on here... but I do read all of the mess people post ..it is funny most of the time... But I will tell everyone this my son was decent three years ago.. when he was given the opertunity to play for chip and the rest of the orginazation ( sundevils) they  made my son better than decent.. not taking any thing away from his high school coaches because we are pretty lucky in Nederland with those guys..But the exposure the sundevils have given my son is priceless.. And I would like to thank Chip and the sundevils for everything they have done for my son..... It has been one hell of a ride watching the entire team play all over the country....And I am looking foward to going back to Georgia and watching the team...Now lets get ready for some high school baseball :P[color=maroon]...Thanks again sundevils ......L.Sonnier

But I think the Bulldogs are looking for a rematch of that great 3 game series from last years playoffs. Nederland should have another great team as well. I think Nederland or Brehnam comes out of Region 3 this year easy.
I couldn't agree more...This might sound selfish but I'm tired of just making it to the semi finals or to the championship and losing.  Winning the region is great and all but it gets old if you don't have a title to go with it.  In 2009 we won the region in baseball, track, cross country, soccer and girls soccer, along with becoming state finalist in football and volleyball.  I don't know weather to consider those things an accomplishment or to accept all of the choking?!  All I know is, that we need to come through the next time we're in that position.  Do you know if y'all are playing in the Brenham tournament?  I wanna check Nederland out before we see y'all in the playoffs?  Have you seen Brenham's junior SS, Drake Roberts?  That kid is out of this world good.  He's been commited to Arkansas since he was a freshman.
I saw him last year in the playoffs and he is good. But I think Kirby Bellow will be up to the challenge.  ;) Anyway, I have not seen the final schedule yet. But we usually play in at least one tournament close to yall.
I am sure all 7 guys that are returning will be up for the challenge  ;D ..... I know the bulldog fans will be ;)

 18.
I'm sometimes amazed at the kid's that don't take advantage of select or even league ball in the summer. How in the world do you expect to earn a position in high school if the guy you are competing against has triple the at bats or innings thrown in off season. To me we don't have enough kids playing ball, and if you are playing for a select team that doesn't charge you, consider yourself lucky and gratefull.
WOW...  some of these people ???.... I know our team has select players that sit on the bench.... and does it really matter lets put the best on the field and win district again ...O & all of our starters play select  somewhere are they have played select somewhere ....I love that my son gets swings all during football season and in the summer  ...It is about that time adminbaberuth....SEE YA  AT THE PARK BABY....GO BIG NED
