I think Shepherd lost this game 81-76. When I quit watching last night is 59-59 going into overtime. Livingston hit a 3 with 10 seconds left in regulation. I could be wrong but I do know the score was not 49-44.

All kidding aside from my game posts. We wish Silsbee best of luck the rest of the way. Their players, coaches and fans were very respectful and played the game the right way.

Not a lot to say this year. Silsbee should win this game pretty easy, if they don't then they should be really worried going into the second round. Shepherd is out gunned, but I can say those boys still play as hard as any team. The only difference is we know it, all you guys are living in a dream and will be either watching the state games by purchasing a ticket or on your couch just like us. I do get a good laugh at some of your comments though, they are pretty fun to read.

Yep, and if the cut off numbers go up by 20 then Shepherd will be joining them. Football is not bad in 4A cause it has divisions, but in other sports, we play Splendora, Huffman and Livingston that are at least twice our size. We can't complete.

Yep and the exact same excuses from Coldspring fans for four years. I agree Coldspring was bigger, faster and more Talent. That wasn’t all on the coaches. If you go in at halftime with a two touchdown lead and can’t keep it, then your team didn’t want it as bad. What I seen is Coldspring got tired and was a totally different team in the second half.

I agree with this, it does happen at other schools no doubt!! If others get caught they need to face either the same penalties or even harsher ones due to the fact they should of learned from Baylor. My problem is that he knew it happened and (for a lack of better words) just kinda tried to sweep it under the rug for the sake of winning. And now he is going to be coaching high school kids. That is just crazy. Mt. Vernon can never tell me they are not trying to put winning in front of anything.

ndPlus if Art didn't have anything to do with it, then why did he take the money are run? Why didn't he fight for his name? I guess millions of dollars is more important to some.

So some of you truly think that he didn't know or had nothing to do with it (being he was the head coach) When Boise calls to tell you what type of a player you are getting and you still let him on the team (for the sake of winning) is crazy. Then to read the text messages from Art to other coaches, is just wow. I don't care if it was one girl or one million it should of never happened and they dang sure shouldn't of turned a blind eye to it.

I see Shepherd is missing their starting QB and the back up Qb. Plus a few more. Those kids start on defense also. Before it’s said not using it for an excuse. Silsbee should win if those kids were playing.
