Nothing like a 10 page thread on repeat. I come to check it out to try and talk some football and the only thing I can find is the same two dudes from Huffman vs. the same guy in Liberty with 3 aliases. It's become this or the Dayton/BH trailer park vs. disgusting looking uniforms.  8) Fact of the matter is that Coldspring is top dog with a tough non district schedule. Huffman has established themselves as the clear #2. Cleveland is still young and will improve under a coach they should be ecstatic to still have. Liberty has no clear direction and won 7 games with the best win being against a pretty good private school. They lost some good OL and return some quality skill kids so best of luck to them, but leave it alone until you prove something. Getting your 2nd score vs. Huffman with 8-9 minutes left when the game is already out of hand did not put you in the game. Maybe it did for the 25-30 seconds that it stayed at a 14 point game until Huffman scored another. That being said, there is nothing left to defend Huffman fans. The whole district outlook is 100% crystal clear to everyone other than the one guy with 3 names. It should be exciting when Huffman finally opens up district play this year rolling in 4-0 vs. the 3-2 Panthers. Not sure if it's correct, but one of the kids told me Huffman has a bye going into that game and also selected them as their homecoming. Best case scenario is for Liberty to catch Huffman overconfident, but considering they have good coaching, two weeks to prepare, and they are at home, I think the advantage is heavily in Huffman's favor, But hey LP, at least I already gave you some excuses to put on the 10th page of May 2013's thread!  ;D

Can we all agree to stop talking about Liberty until they beat anyone that surprises people? If you beat Porter, who should be closer to you, then go ahead and hype it up for Huffman. Until then leave it alone so we can enjoy the things that should be talked about on this site. You don't hear everyone from Hamshire going crazy about destroying Splendora and starting as many threads as possible, because they knew things could change the next week. I wasn't going to stoop but, you need more help than your boys do against a team with a winning record! If you re-read I say they are great kids. I know them and they deserve recognition, but I'm willing to bet they are modest enough not to brag constantly and would rather not see all of this mess until they rewrite what went wrong last season.

By hanging with Kingwood Park do you mean surviving? Cleveland didnt move the football and started acting like the Cleveland of old, undisciplined and committing what would be several personal fouls. Coldspring is no doubt the powerhouse, but Cleveland or Liberty wont be able to handle Huffman's defense or Darian Grey. Hardin, Hardin Jefferson and Caney Creek are three weak opponents, and even tougher to compare being 2A, 3A and 4A, but this week should tell a lot. Liberty gets to attempt to avenge a loss against Huntington, can't believe I'm saying that, Huffman has Houston Kashmere who scored 20 something on Sealy and Cleveland will get strummed by Silsbee. You guys are trying to make this district more interesting than what it actually is.

Hey Fanatic keep your Falcons on the lookout. The offensive juggernaut Liberty exploded for one 25 yard TD drive last night against a decent team you scored on 4 or 5 times. Buddy of mine said you guys looked good this week and also told me Cleveland and splendora both look to be improved. Sounds like the race for 3rd is on.

Huffman returns Gray, Larsen and Mccloskey who accounted for 10 total touchdowns vs. playoff teams last season. Liberty......well they did score three [b]TOTAL[/b] touchdowns vs. playoff teams last season. I'm sure no one cares whether or not they return. Dreski, I'd let this thread go for a while. At least until we see if Liberty makes it over the Huntington hump this season. Until then good luck to all teams this weekend and may all stay healthy.

Don't have a dog in this fight but I'll say it doesn't matter who returns what. Huffman will still beat Liberty by 14 + at War Memorial Stadium.

Huffman off of a bye and Silsbee on a short week. Huffman is glad Johnson is gone and wins this one by 21+ WOS destroys Liberty, but Coldspring beats Bridge City by 21+ and 22-3A takes 2 of 3 from the "Superior" 21-3A in back-to-back years.

Some of you do not get the big picture. Although Huffman had plenty of chances to handle their own business, they had two instances where they did just that. The early 4th and goal at the one was not a TD. On top of that at the end of the game there was a clear strip and score by Huffman's defense that was blown dead for no logical reason. That is a 14 point swing! The penalty yards are irrelevant. Who cares if they were equal? Penalties are not the officials only jobs. Take away those and it could be different. Huffman had plenty of chances to make up for those blown calls. Close games come down to running the football, turnovers & field position. Huffman lost in all three of these phases. These were two very good, well coached football teams. Best of luck to both in the playoffs and watch 22-3A take 2 out of 3 from 21-3A again this year.

Where'd you come up with 8 more Huffman points Paintball? On the first Huffman/Cleveland thread you had it 34-7? Heard that Coach Maple of Cleveland was a coach at Huffman before. Any truth to that?

Huffman by a lot. Too many weapons on offense. Their defense is small but causes tons of turnovers.  Huffman wins this one big to set up the district championship with Coldspring. Where will DeBerry be playing college ball at? That kid can make every throw.
