After 1 year at Cleveland High School as head boys varsity coach, Matt Brackett has left the program to become the head basketball coach for Hardin Simmons University.

I have good memories of high school ball when I was there. This includes all aspects; the game, the bands, the cheerleaders and the home town fans. This is why I still go, irregardless of all the personalities that I choose to ignore. I like the environment on a Friday night in a football stadium.

The 2008 and 2009 Cleveland Indian teams failed to make it past the 2nd round playoff game in those years. Both teams were highly ranked all year, undefeated in district each year, loaded with experience and talent, but disappeared after beating Hardin-Jefferson in the first round playoff each of those years. Very disappointing.
