1. Should be up by tomorrow morning. Nederland Varsity boys won with a score of 180 and 2nd was PN-G with 106. Trent Fulk (soph) and Layne Smith (fresh) both ran really well with Smith edging out Fulk with a 4:39 to a 4:41 in a mile that came down to the last 100m.  Fulk grabbed the gold  in the 3200m and Aaron Arceneaux(formerly McCray) won 1st in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Kevin Molina also won a gold for medal in the 800m dash. Austin Wyble won first in the 300m hurdles. May be others but that's the only ones I for surely remember.
2. Nederland will be there. Their may be a few absentees in the wake of the death of Coach Crowell (RIP)
3. Bulldogs make it back-to-back titles, win at Lumberton HIGH SCHOOL TRACK Tom Halliburton The Port Arthur News LUMBERTON —  LUMBERTON -- Nederland boys first-year track and field coach Chris Theriot is making a serious bid for rookie of the year.   The Bulldogs made it 2 for 2 under Theriot's supervision this week by rolling to another team title at the 21st annual Lumberton Raider relays.   This Thursday evening display was absolutely dominant in Nederland's favor. The NHS boys compiled 182 points -- 70 more than runner-up Little Cypress-Mauriceville.   Awfully chilly weather in the high 40s could not prevent the Bulldogs from winning two relays and producing four double winners in a competitive varsity field.   Nederland won the 1,600- and 800-meter relay races. The four double winners were Trevor Martin, Grant Lovelady, Aaron McCrary and Kevin Molina.   Martin won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters with teammate Domingo Flores right behind him each time. McCrary swept the sprints, winning the 100- and 200-meter dash. Molina won the 800 meters while running a leg on the 1,600-meter relay. Lovelady competed in both of Nederland's winning relay events.   Shot putter Reagan Richard was the Lady Bulldogs' lone winner in a varsity girls division won by Vidor.   The Lady Pirates claimed the gold medals in six events, including the 1,600-meter relay, and compiled 170 points.   Port Neches-Groves placed a solid third in both divisions with 118 points on the girls side and 106 on the boys side.   Hillary Coy of PN-G was the school's lone double winner, taking the unusual combination of the pole vault and the 100-meter hurdles.   Defending state qualifier Dylan Richards made it 2 for 2, winning the high jump again. Cody Ross also made it 2 for 2 in the triple jump. Tyler Wright did the same in the 300-meter hurdles while Jordan Begnaud claimed his first win of 2010 in the pole vault.   -- Tom Halliburton Lumberton Raider Relays results   LUMBERTON -- Here are the final varsity results (hand-held) from the 21st annual Lumberton Raider Relays held Thursday at Raider Stadium: GIRLS DIVISION   Discus -- 1. 4. At practice today. It was a typed up sheet, not like in the format the news prints out. I was only interested in my time and how we did as a team so I didn't pay to to much attention to other teams and runners
5. I'm surprised to that so many are putting Dionte over Kelvin. And I thought Kelvin was a sophmore actually, but maybe he is a junior, I'm not sure. Plus Chris Cunningham plays really hard and he is a huge factor for Nederland. All that being said, I think Kelvin is a good bit better than Forney. He's more athletic and versatile and just overall plays better in my opinion. I've always thought Dionte was a bit overrated, not trying to take anything away from him, but to me he's just not AS great as some people say. But him and dionte along with cunningham play together quite well and I think it's more of between Kelvin and Chris Cunningham.
6. Just saw all the results earlier(well I only looked at Varsity boys). Nederland won the meet with 182 points, I think 2nd was L-CM, but I can't confirm that because of my short-term memory. Gold medals were awarded to Aaron McCrary, Trevor Martin, Kevin Molina, the 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams, and that's all I can think of off the top of my head. The winning 4x400 was a 3:36.60 I think and 2nd was less than a second behind. Also, I just remembered Nederland JV got 2nd.
7. Patrick's a really cool guy. I remember seeing his arm when he showed it to me last year. Pretty disgusting looking with the skin graft (if thats how its spelled) he had to get. I just heard earlier that he got 12th and so he didn't make it to finals, but Congrats to him for just making it to State and competing
8. Meet went pretty well. Pretty cold again, so not to many fast times, but still included some good racing. I'm about 95% sure Nederland's Varsity Boys won the meet. Not to sure of the rest. Hopefully results will be coming soon.
9. Don't care to much for WOS' track but I did run my best time there in the 800 & also there stands are obviously way bigger. Orangefield's track is alright, I think it runs pretty decent, I forgot since it's been since last year. The only Nederland runners that will be there are Layne Smith and Trent Fulk, the star youngsters. All the rest of Nederland's runners will be at the Lumberton meet
10.
I think the winning time was 3:43 in the mile relay
I think it may have been a little better than that, cause Nederland's splits were about 53, 54, 56, 58 which puts that at about 3:41-3:43 depending on the exact times. Tough meet because of the cold, hopefully Thursday's meet turns out better results
