1. Are there any "clinch if win" scenarios this week?
 2. Here was my thought. For all the users that make it through Week 10, take all the teams they picked and add up all their records for a total win-loss record. The user with the most losses wins, cause he/she picked the worst teams through out the contest, or in other words the hardest teams to pick. Only problem with this is that if this condition would have been announced at the beginning of this contest, some users strategies might have changed from their current strategies. The guessing the score idea isn't a bad idea either.

That picture was at least 30 minuets before kickoff.  Notice all of the general admission seats already filled.  I bet if PNG didn't have 2A sized visitor stands, Nederland would have filled them whatever size there were!
PN-G visitor side is LARGER than Nederlands.
I'm sorry but there is no way PNG's visitor side is bigger than Nederland's visitor side. Nederland's is just slightly smaller than their home side
 4. I'll add other classifications if enough people want them
 5.
Doubt our fans if you want but you know you will never add up I was at the semi-final game for Nederland back in the early 2000's and your fans wasnt close to what a PNG game would have been at the deepest playoff game you have played in since way back when. It so easy to pick when your team is up and ours is down. Tides do turn when its your turn to be down then we can talk. Our kids gave it all they had Its funny what I learned last night bout Nederland. I dont no if you will win past round 1 after your showing last night. 37-12 by a top ranked team Central scored 56 last week. I have seen Summer Creek and Dayton enjoy this now but if you dont get your ducks in a row you will never see round 2. I expected more from Nederland than what was there last night.
Sooo we can't talk when your team is down, only when ours is? And in my opinion, Nederland has sort of played to the level of their competition each week. If they almost beat Angleton, they should have creamed LC-M or had a better showing against PNG. I believe when their backs are truly against the walls they'll show up and make it a close contest. We can't really validate anything until the 1st round rolls around. Until then they'll keep doing what they're doing. Go Dogs!
 6. In my opinion, this is the only game left on Nederland's schedule where they could end up with a L. That's if a lot of things go wrong. Ozen is and always has been a very athletic team, but I still say the Dogs come out on top. It has to be the perfect storm for Ozen next weekend to roll out of Nederland with a W. Nederland - 31 Ozen - 14
 7. Been thinking about doing a Playoff Bracket Challenge when the playoffs come around. If I can get enough people interested I'll run it. Here is the format, essentially the same format as the NCAA basketball bracket challenges. Once all the playoff positions are solidified, just pick who you think will win each game all the way to the state champion. All brackets have to be completed and turned in before the playoffs start though, no altering brackets during playoffs. You get 10 points for each team you pick that advances to Area, for each team you correctly pick to advance to Regionals you get 20 points, each team picked correctly to get to Quaterfinals is 40 points a piece, each team picked correctly to get to the Semi-Finals is 80 points a piece, each team picked correctly to get to the State Championship is worth 160 points a piece, and finally correctly picking the State Champion is worth 360 points. This would be the scoring format: Area - ____ out of 320 points Regionals - ____ out of 320 points Quarterfinals - ____ out of 320 points Semi-Finals - ____ out of 320 points Finals - ____ out of 320 points State Champion - ____ out of 320 points Remember, the brackets are completely filled out before the playoffs start. This is not a week by week prediction, you fill your bracket out all the way to picking a State Champion. This makes it challenging, if you pick a team to advance to the Semi-Finals and they lose the first game and don't advance to Area you'll miss out on 10 points from Area, 20 points from Regionals, 40 points from Quarterfinals, and 80 points from Semi-Finals. Get the concept? If I can get enough people interested I'll run it on here.
 8.
Some posters will find anything they can to take shots at PN-G with. They will try and say our crowd isn't the biggest in the area, when they know it is and we have consistently produced the sheer volume of fans to prove it. They'll try and say we don't have as much pride as we used to or that our traditions aren't 'all that,' when our pride and tradition are what put our school on display in more prominent fashion than any other school in the state at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin just last year. They'll try and say our rivalry isn't as big as it once was, when in fact that rivalry is consistently ranked among the fiercest in the state by a number of statewide, sports-oriented organizations, Dave Campbell, Legacy Sports and this very site among them. I normally take such petty offenses for what they are - products of a deep, sub-conscious inferiority complex that develops when you are consistently out-numbered by PN-G fans on your own field every other year, when you realize you know Cherokee better than your own school's fight song, and when you realize that your own school has never and likely will never have the prominence or recognition that PN-G has enjoyed for quite some time - and choose not to indulge them, but rather just toss a few light-hearted jabs back and continue on the practice of 'smack talk' this board is so popular for. And so, on that note, it really doesn't surprise me when some fan of some other school again tries to knock PN-G with a picture taken late in the fourth quarter of a half-empty stadium nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand schools couldn't fill to begin with, and it, too, doesn't surprise me that other fans of whatever school try and join in with 'walk the walk' and 'they're only there when they're winning' and all these other attempts at insults that reflect their ever-flowing originality, abundant creativity, level of intelligence and general wit. But setting such pleasantries aside for the moment in the interests of fairness, if any real discussion (emphasis on the word 'real') on this subject is to take place, then we must consider all the facts, and so, I offer into the record this picture of Nederland's crowd, taken just before the game by a Nederland graduate and posted on Facebook: [IMG][Hidden Content]] At least we filled our (larger) stands at some point.
This was taken 45 minutes before kickoff. I got to my seat at 6:40 and the PNG band was walking around the track like they are doing in this photo. Plus, the teams are still on the field. When Nederland headed for the locker room there was still 25-30 minutes left before game time. Right after that they showed that video the student body and faculty made. That was pretty impressive! 8)

 10. Just saying, if you can't walk the walk then don't talk the talk
 11. I've thought about that but what if someone advances to the playoffs and has picked 7 of the 8 teams from districts 19 & 20-4A and only has 1 more team to pick from? Too many things that could go wrong. On the other hand, when playoffs rolls around I've been thinking about starting a bracket challenge. Similar to the NCAA basketball bracket challenge that everyone does. I was gonna see if people would be interested in that before I started it though
 12. Should Ozen win tomorrow, everyone will advance except for the 2 users who did not pick this week. Looking at 23 at the most, 22 at the least that will be advancing to Week 8!! Starting to think we might have multiple winners in this challenge at the end of Week 10! Barbers Hill - 0 Crosby - 0 New Caney - 0 Summer Creek - 0 Dayton - 5 Porter - 0 C.E. King - 0 Kingwood - 2 Humble - 0 Nederland - 3 Lumberton - 0 PNG - 0 Ozen - 1 Central - 0 Livingston - 12 LCM - 0 Vidor - 0

They haven't had a shut-out against PN-G since 1988. (seen some predicting one this year---good luck with that...Ned has only shut PN-G out 10 times since 1925...on the other hand they have went home empty handed 21 times) 2. Their longest winning streak in MCM is 3 yrs. (just cant seem to get over that hump and make it 4 in a row.) 3. They let PN-G whip that butt 15 yrs in a row. 4. And last but not least...Nederland may have bragging rights for another year...but we have them overall. Nederland would have to beat us 15 yrs in a row to catch up with PN-Gs winning tradition. The series is 48 PN-G 33 Nederland  7 Tied  (5 years we didnt compete).
I love MCM... BUT one of your "joe Biden" facts are wrong... guess which one? Hint -Which suprises me if are truly PNG fan.
Sorry..miss counted..Nederland has only shut us out 9 times...I was at work and had to count fast.
Nope, try again... another hint, the 4 season the streak was broken
1954 through 1957 - a period which included a state championship appearance and a state title for PN-G and a state championship appearance for Nederland, if I'm not mistaken.
Nederland won their state championship in '57, made it to the finals in '56 and lost 3-0. PNG got a trophy in '55, made it to the finals in '54 but lost. Both had similar paths in consecutive years from '54-'57. PNG also got another state championship in '53 before the era of domination by MCM teams, I guess you could include that '53 year along with the years from '54-'57.
