What happened was that the guy that signed with Iowa State had the ball and one of the twins wanted him to pass the ball to him and they started yelling at each other and they eventually went at it. The other twin jumped in to help out his brother. [Hidden Content] My uncle told me that their plan right now is to play their first playoff game with most of their JV team.

I heard this from my uncle who is a coach over at Fort Bend Bush. Fort Bend Travis (#9 in 5A) was playing their last district game last night and their 3 best players got in a fight amongst themselves, then the bench cleared. Most of the team was tossed from the game and they were forced to forfeit. The 3 that started the fight are suspended for 20 days (OUCH). One of the players suspended is Anthony Odunsi (Signed with Iowa State) and the other 2 were standout sophomore twins. Shame to see a team finish out the season with that.

Nederland can't catch a break, looking forward to the playoffs!  :D

Deadline for sign-ups is March 11, league play starts on the week of March 21. Sign up sheets are available in the Nederland Recreation Center.

This is awesome, hopefully they can give Texas a run for their money on Wednesday!

Hey guys, I'm the one that runs the leagues over at the Nederland Rec. We will be starting a spring league in March. We are shooting for 12 teams, if we can get more that would be great. 6 teams play on Monday and 6 on Thursday. Times are at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30, your pick. $125/team and a $20 fee before each game to take care of the referees. I won't have any sign up sheets until later in December, but if you are seriously interested in bringing a team into the league I will save you a spot. I am going to try to finish on this note, but I'm sure someone will say something back. Raideroldtimer, I was watching our band preform and I'll say it again. IT WAS A DISTRACTION. That is why I wasn't watching the band towards the end of their performance, because I was amazed at how disrespectful that was. And the was time left on the clock, not much but there was. LTrain, I wasn't there for about the first 3 or 4 minutes of the game, so I can't say anything about that incident. And Brubaker, you are right. Ozen is next on the chopping block, so I wish good luck to the boys next weekend to get the job done and move a game closer to hopefully clinching a playoff spot. Just wanted to get that in there  ;)

Who cares? People that care about other stuff besides the football team.

Not from what I saw. Lumberton's football team went [b]10 yards out of the end zone and back 3 times[/b]. I wasn't there for the pre-game stuff so I can't say anything about that, but I know what I saw at halftime. Now it is a football game, but a football game doesn't just consist of the football team. It consists of the football team, cheerleaders, twirlers, the band, and the student body of both schools. And both schools should have respect for each other. But I guess I shouldn't expect that from Lumberton from now on.

I wasn't "wondering off looking for something else to look at". It was a freaking distraction. My sister is the drum major for Nederland and she said she missed a whistle because of the distraction. Have some class and wait till the band is done with their routine.

They were warming up doing high leg kicks through the end zone and 10 yards onto the field.

How classless was that move? Having the football players warm up on the field while the Nederland band was still marching. Disrespectful and disappointing in my opinion. I lost a lot of respect for Lumberton tonight.
