I just meant his name is usually thrown around the rumor mill on almost every job the past year or two. Not talking about their resume

No problem, I was just stating the obvious.  Haynes has the experience and the track record to go with it as a head coach.  I just wouldn't go as far as calling him the new Toby Foreman.  He does have over 140 career wins and has been successful at the 4A and 5A levels.

His name might have been thrown out there on websites, forums, but why wouldn't it be.  He has a proven record and that is what most schools want to hire, someone with experience that can get the job done.

So Hitman is that official? I have seen his name get thrown around for every job thats come open the past few years, he is the new
Toby Foreman.

Now I might be incorrect, but didn't Foreman just get his first head coaching job???  He has tried to get several head coaching jobs in the past and finally got his chance with Central.  I wish him well and hope he has success at Central.

But, Coach Haynes has been a successful head coach and athletic director for years.  How is he the "new Toby Foreman".  He left Hardin and threw his name in the hat for Westbrook, was a finalist, then BISD decided to go with Flanigan.  Other than that, he has been patiently waiting for the right job.  He would do a great job there in Lumberton.  Hope we find out soon who gets this job.  Have any other names been thrown out there?
3. A Win-Loss record should have no weight as to whether he will be a good AD or not.  It's all about how he handles the head coaches at each campus, the assistant coaches as well as managing the budget for the district athletic department.  As far as football, regardless what he has done in the past, he won't have a say in what offense or defense is run at the GCCISD schools.

It's a good gesture and all, but it just doesn't sit well with me that West Brook will be giving up a HOME district game to a game basically in NS's back yard.  In district, you strive to get every possible advantage.  The only thing I can think of is you'll get some big time exposure, such as espn or something.  I don't think that's the case.  The  people from Reliant Stadium gave the invitation.  I  think that this could have been done in a pre district game or perhaps be used as a playoff venue.  Maybe West Brook should have declined...

I tend to agree with you Soulja. Why wasn't this invitation to play at Reliant done last year? This way, no team would lose a home game to the other. They would play there both seasons, one designated the home team each season.

Realignment is every two year, schedules are set for two years. These should be honored.

But, BISD and West Brook had to agree to this change, so it's on them.

The main reason for the invitation now is based on the fact that Reliant just went out and purchased field turf for all high school and college games to be played on. Only the Texans will play their games on grass while all the other games are played on turf. There will be more invites to follow now that Reliant can accommodate more teams and games without destroying the grass field.

Something I heard a few months ago.
