  1. Good attitude 60Cardinal07!! I believe this defense is capable of shutting them out as well. You guys have been remarkable. Showed lots of guts in evry gane down to the last play. I don't see any "no-care" in you guys.
  2. Your words - not mine. The team has a lot of determination and "true grit". If there are some players with a "no-care" attitude, they are the minority in my opinion. There is no question that players who continue to play with injuries have heart, and Ironman JD is the best example of confidence and commitment that a team could ask for. It is my hope that the team can make adjustments that will allow this type of player the opportunity to recover from injuries if possible, so that they can contribute that much more on the next outing. I have nothing more than the highest regard for this team, because despite plenty of adversity (on and off the field) they have continued to fight hard on every outing. I do not believe this is indicative of a team with a "no-care" attitude. Sorry if you disagree. That's life.
  3. Bridge City will win ugly, but they will win. 7-10 points. I hope they sit out some of the playing injured until they see if they really need them to win. Dishon, Stringer, and several others could use a break, and should be saved for OF, Kville, And WOS, if possible. Mills and the others could possibly do this one without them.
  4. Orangefield by 10. Kvilleballa eats crow again this week. So far, Cats haven't proven they can compete with ranked teams. If they pull this one out, I'll start paying attention (well, a little).
  5. How Big? VERY BIG!! Look like grown men. Walked up next to a couple of them during half time. I'm 5'11" 225. I felt small. They are a solid lot, too. Not a lot of jello bellies.
  6. Congratulations to Silsbee. I did not get to attend the game last year, so that was my first visit to the stadium. Awesome! I would also like to compliment the school for their class, their facilities, the treatment of us as visitors, and the announcer. All were top shelf!! It was a hard game to watch as a BC fan, but I have to admit, it was entertaining to get to watch the Tigers from warm-ups right through to the end of the game. Class act. Very disciplined and a solid team. Yeah, they fumbled - so what. They are also strong enough to recover from turnovers. If they improve in that one area, I would not want miss the Silsbee - WOS game. BC is down, but not out. They will have enough talent on the field to deal with Jasper, but after that, all bets are off. If we cannot improve on the level of healthy players, we are unlikely to be able to get through OF. They are strong this year. Those playing injured for BC are having to sit out practices, and this is contributing to penalties and turnovers in the game. I would like to see Dishon watch this one from the sidelines unless it becomes absolutely necessary to put him in. A healthy Dishon is going to be the key if we expect to do anything past this next game. He may not be BC's only talent, but to say he is not key to their success is just ignorance. If you want to see just how critically depleted the BC team is, check the Penny Record tomorrow. Injury report as of Saturday.
  7. Is there a mental health facility in Kirbyville where you might get some help for your delusions? Unless the delusions are drug induced, in which case you may be able to get in to a local rehab. While they are somewhat entertaining, delusions of this type can lead to more serious problems, resulting in severe humiliation, depression, and (hopefully) suicide. I would think you should be concerned. It's fascinating to witness a disturbed mind in action, but I really hope someone loves you enough to conduct an intervention as soon as possible to get you some help. Poor Guy!
  8. The Cards are ready for this one. There was actually more than two key players out for the last one. All but one will be back. Dishon is not the only thing the team has, and by the fourth qrtr Friday night, Silsbee will have discovered that. Cardinal defense will give up some points, but they won't be easy ones. The offense is on track, and despite missing a good receiver, should be able to move the ball. BC - 31 Silsbee - 24 Give 'em hell, Cards!
  9. The Bayou Bowl gets pretty heated each year. May not have the longest history, but the rivalry is there.
  10. Ripped off two significant runs against Kelly securing the BC win. 180+ total yards.
