United is 6A...WB is 6A United has the better facilities United will have the better athletes and top shelf feeders South-Park,MLK and Odom....WB feeders will be Marshall and Vincent United fan base will be off the chart Maybe there's a better offer to stay at his current job...Nothing would surprise me.

I'm in total agreement with your analysis which is correct and on point. My follow up response is the board of managers made increased salary adjustments for both head football coaches positions in the district. Would it it be unrealistic to do the same for both basketball programs. The student-athletes are worth the investment. FY...I i'm an advocate for Teacher pay raises as well. Academics first then Athletics makes productive citizens...jmo

"If" Bisd wants the best they can get to be the head coach at United it's simple show him the money. Pure and simple it's all business. I realize high school football is king in Texas but the "Top Applicant" is vastly under paid. Had he been compensated he wouldnt have taken the AD job in P.A. and we wouldnt be having this delayed process...jmo

For whatever reason or reasons BISD never hires the best available applicant on the onset. It seems they always hire the next best to the best or lesser. This pattern has kept progress at a mediocre status at best with exception to current WB basketball head coach. jmo

Interesting these 3 were offered without applying. Rolling the dice I predict one of the 3 steps up takes the challenge to build a new program. I see one of the 3 having an offensive mind making for an exciting running game and long ball threat. At last we have a coach at The "U" !!!

Bisd current scenario works only if they hire from within or a throwback....No reputable applicant will accept not hiring their own offensive and defensive coordinators..It's time to make the call in house or a quality throwback...jmo

Well he beat Ozen coached by Taylor Sept.20 (42-14).....he also beat Central coached by Nelson Sept.26 (42-21) now that's funny. He's a formidable coach with intense motivation skills that gets his players to believe in themselves and to perform above their abilities....BISD has a bad history/pattern of passing/rejecting top applicants as demonstrated last week. Why not Matthews ? They discouraged Botkin a top shelf applicant with restraints on his staff. Shame on them if they pass on another solid applicant.

It's pathetic my friend when "Due Process" becomes another back room deal. I'm in shock and speechless. Not allowing the best qualified applicant to hire his own defensive and offensive coordinators was a deal breaker. So he walks out and United settles for well it'll be announced soon enough.. ..Teddy Pendergrass song says it best "The Whole Town Is Laughing At Me "

BISD, this is your man make the call and let's get it moving. All that throw back and use to be homey-business is ludicrous... Procrastinating is wasting time. This new program desperately needs spring practice.. The new coach and AD can get those needed uniforms and work out the logistics for practices. Come on man it dont take rocket science to get the process finalized.

LoL they were 4A then in my opinion it counts 36-0 was a heck of a season....2002 and 2003 they were state finalist not to shabby those years either...jmo
