1. Newton             7 0 (wins out, if they play to their potential) East Chambers      6 1 (wins out, if they play to their potential) Woodville    5 2 (wins next 2 and loss to N, Kv has potential to win that game) Anahuac             4 3 (losses next 2, can beat Kz but may not) Kirbyville             3 4 (loses to Wd, wins last 2, might have trouble with Kz) Kountze             2 5 (loses out, unless opponent not ready to play) Hardin             1 6 (wins Wn, loses last 2) Warren             0 7 (loses out) This should open up some discussion...  If the season turns out like this Newton, East Chambers, Woodville (1, 2, 3) BUT... this is HS football and anyone can have a really bad night at the same time someone has a really good night, so there is still an assumption that Newton goes undefeated (although highly likely).  I haven't seen everyone play yet so there are some assumptions here and this is based on what I have read on the posts regarding all the games in this district. (I read them all) I have a great deal or respect for all the teams in this district and love to watch the talent that shows up every Friday night to play!  GO BUCS!
 2. Orange Crush Adkins won the 10U bracket.  GO CRUSH!! Crush teams in 12U won 1st and 2nd.  Beyond that I don't know...

Newton by 2 TD's.
agree but I think Roberts gets a little over a hundred,  simply cause they give him ball 40 times a game. Shorter 150 rushing maybe 15 carries 3 tds...also look to see Dj coming out party.
Roberts averages right at 20 carries per game and just over 12 yards/carry... might wanna get your numbers right before you talk out of your rear...  He is not the only weapon we have, but I hope you keep thinking that... I know your teams coach knows better.
 5.

I think EC can understand the injury stance as well.  They are starting to stack up over here as well.  Our secondary was supposed to be a real strength for us and we seem to lose one player back there each game...
Well, better tell EC assistant coaches to suit up and play in the secondary otherwise I see Kirbyville racking up 500 yards passing to Cooper, Jacko and Everett if Coach Neece wants to.....lol
do you ever think before you speak? seriously
Kvillecats never thinks before he speaks...  That is what makes it sooo entertaining!!!
 6. We live in Winnie and play for Orange Crush.  And she is loving it!!! Great kids, coaches, and parents!  Couldn't ask for more...
 7. She can hit the crap out of the ball (to the outfield and she has hit to the fence a couple times) AND run like a deer... She is only 10 right now though so only time will tell where she ends up, but if her brother is any indication, she will be tall, athletic, strong, and fast. I'm a very proud Dad!  Can you tell? LOL...
 8. obviously I don't know enough...  She is a power hitter that is a lefty so she is learning to slap and slap bunt... Baseball was much easier...
 9.
My point being he was hit hard enough to fumble and get at least 1 wrist broken by a soft, pillow fighting HJ Hawk... But going back and looking at the film to see if your assessment was truth, I'd have to say you and the EC coach are not correct. As the kid runs with the ball, he encounters an HJ player's helmet and it clearly shows he did not have time to "brace" for the impact of the ground for his shoulder hit the ground first and his feet last. This assessment came from me watching the game film and rewinding it several times...
Beaumont Enterprise article shows the hit with the player in the air with one arm going down to brace the fall.  You can tell by the picture that it it about to break.  Both NOT broken on hit, he did have time to try to brace himself before he hit the ground.  You should believe the film, my son watched it Sat morning.  To that players credit, he gets up, using broken wrists and goes to where the huddle was forming before looking at his wrists.  One tough kid.
 10. Ok, just getting into softball with my daughter... Which fastpitch softball bat is the best?  What should I be looking for in a new bat?  Just need info on where to start... Thanks!

If Woodard is any kind of a recruiter he would try to get him in red. He is the real deal!!
How great would that be!  I would go to every game!!!  And he is the real deal.  You don't get the Ford Built Tough athlete just for performance on the field it for off the field too.  He is a great kid ON & OFF the field and always says he could do it without a great O line.  Go Glenn you make us ALL proud!
Always says he COULDN'T do it without out a great o-line... I think you forgot a word there.  Glenn is a very humble young man!
 12. On top of being a great athlete, he is a great young man!  I know him personally and have coached him in basketball.  He and my son are friends and whatever college picks him up will be getting the whole package! Cowardice asks the question: "Is it safe?" Consensus asks the question: "Is it popular?" Courage asks the question: "Is it right?" Rod Rogers
 13.
To all EC fans, players and coaches here at HF we did nothing but show respect towards your team and community. Just to have our field ruined again by one or more kids I hope! I can promise I will find out who has done this. If they come clean charges will not be made if I have to use other sources charges to the full extent will be filed. If you have info your name will be kept secret contact me Randy Alvarez 409-651-9499
What happened?
 14. Due to most of the girls on the team moving on to play in other organizations, since we could not get enough for a team this fall, we will not be having tryouts. I will post again in the spring to see if there is any interest in developing a team in the Chambers county/West Jefferson county area. Thanks to those who have responded!  Good luck to all my girls wherever you play!  It was my pleasure to be your coach! ;D ;D
 15. Bryant also made 2A All-State 2nd team OF and 2nd team OF for Golden Triangle.  BA 0.538 (32nd in TX), SLG 0.827 (40th in TX), OBP 0.632 (24th in TX).  11/12 on stolen bases. All stats from MaxPreps.com website.
 16.
Beaumont Blast 12U will be holding try-outs January 22 from 2-5pm and January 29 from 2-5pm at the Blast practice facility.  Call Coach Don for additional information (409)781-2579
My daughter is an '01 birthday, we are looking for a team to play with.  Who do I need to contact for a blast team her age?  Thanks, Charlie (409) 771-0755
 17. [s]My daughter is an '01 birthday.  She is a catcher.  She is also a good 3rd base, 1st base, and OF.  With right training and lessons could also pitch.  She is LH batter RH thrower. Quick, aggresive base runner.  Wants to play softball, loves the game.  Current team broke up.  We are trying to hit the tryouts we see here, but if anyone would like for her to come workout with them to take a look at her for possibly playing for them let me know.  If you already have a full team and are looking for fill in she might be interested.  We just want her to keep playing and improving. [/s] We have found a new team! Orange Crush!  She is excited about being part of this organization!  She likes the players and coaches and is already learning so much!
 18. Any spots still open?  My daughter has '01 birthday, catcher, and 3rd primary positions, can play any position.  Throws right bats left.  Thanks, Charlie (409) 771-0755.
 19. [s]Chaos softball is looking for 3-5 players to start preparing for the fall season ('01 and '02 birthdays).  The tryouts will be at Cook Field in Winnie September 8th, 10am-12ish. The team is 10U this fall and will be playing 12U in the spring. For more information please feel free to contact Charlie Collier 409-771-0755 or [email protected].  If your daughter wants to play and is willing to work hard on the ground floor of a new organization please come out and see if this team is for y'all![/s]
 20. EC played Good Samaritan in Championship game... Final - EC 65 GS 25
 21. EC vs Boys Harbor... EC wins by 10.... sorry can't remember the exact score...
 22. If the Hardin coaches do what the EC coaches did last week and put these posts all over the locker room, Hardin will be well motivated.  That will make it a close, hard fought game.  My money is on the Bucs, but they must remained focused on the challenge at hand.  I have a little insight on how practices were held this week...  It will be a good game!  Go Bucs!
