Posted on www.smoaky.com (an East Texas sports forum): "Posted 10 November 2012 - 03:33 PM Yep.....Roberts is their everything. Send 8 guys his way and the other 3 defenders for the rest of them. We took him out of the game last year and ended up beating them 45-7 in the 3rd round last year. Make no mistake....the kid can play, hes a great talent. He is small but fast and shifty. I personally think Alexander will get his guys to maul a one star(player) team like this. Alexander will know to devote his attention to Roberts on defense. And offensively, what Troup does(which is mix it up well) should walk down the field fairly easily on a not so athletic team. Our district is very athletic...Tatum, Jefferson, and White Oak prepared Troup very well for the playoffs. Even Harmony showed you the ball control side of things......you guys have seen some tough football teams. East Chambers would have finished 5th maybe 6th in our district..... Go get 'em Tigers. Make 9AA DI proud. "
Congratulations to Troup on fighting to the end and playing a great game! In relation to the post above... How's that "And offensively, what Troup does(which is mix it up well) should walk down the field fairly easily on a not so athletic team" look now? and "Roberts is their everything"... He is a large part of this team and its heart.  It was killing him not to be in when the game was close at the end.  EC has other players and they all stepped up to take up the slack to make sure Roberts has another game to play! To all the seniors at EC... I guess y'all aren't ready to play with the round ball yet! GO BUCS!!!
 5. Would like to say thanks to all those that traveled to Lufkin for the game!  Especially those from our district, county, and area, way to support your neighbors!  It is greatly appreciated by all us EC folks! Congratulation to Troup on a great season.  You fought hard!  Great game! WAY TO GO BUCS!!!  Enjoy the win, and move on to the next! Now time to prepare for Franklin!
 6. In other words this guy thinks he's still playing?  Or does he not think his players can win the game without his intimidaiton of officials? Intimidation of officials would get him thrown out of a game with most of the officals I know...  Hopefully the officials have some guts and maintain control of the game.

I think the point someone made earlier about resting starters is valid.  But Newton has never done that.  They just want to run up the score on everyone by as much as they can.  One the other hand, it doesn't look like they have all that many players on the bench either.
this must be your butt talking because surely your head has better sense
I would have to say that if Newton wants to score 100 on someone... I bet they can.  Just an observation from what I have seen.

Everyone must agree then... 8)
Maybe there is not the level of interest in District 10-2A that you think there is.  Let's see now, there's you and Axe Em Jacks - that's 2? ;D
There sure was a few weeks ago...  This districts boards were being commented on by a large number of folks...
 14.
I like it but except for one thing Warren I think will beat Hardin
Maybe, but it won't change the playoff picture...
