BC president was the head coach of the stacked team, and his wife was on their board also. He wasn't banned from coaching in stjfl for cheating. I'm glad the kids were not affected. They didn't do anything wrong. What did PA do to get banned?

Was basically accused of the something hell Jasper just had a bad day at registration to get banned. At the end of the day you right the Bridge City kids had nothing to do with that but the league according to the past could of told the two Jr teams for sure they was out the playoffs. I don't think no one is out to get no one person or league. It's just so many rumors this league can do without. You have to be beyond low to mess over some kids.

Well since we all are talking rumors, BC did try and stack a team, they also got caught and were forced to redraft (rumors) glad i don't belong to them. I think they should have been banned from the playoffs such as that Nederland senior team was a few years back. EC refused the mercy rule and that's why nothing happened to BC. You are correct in saying YOUTH, guess that's where they learn you can get by without punishment. Weak league.

You mean when STJFL didn't ban he whole Nederland league like they did PA before or Jasper. Sure as human run these leagues there will be a mistake or two I think the league has been fair to all pretty much. BC not only got caught they lost there President and when he went out the door BC had to make changes cause he took some people with him..

i believe that yes you are right some of the players business was handled the correct way, i also know that some were not. But hey this is youth football and no one is above stjfl. so they do what they want unchecked, and we pay money and deal with it. I do hope talk resumes for the coalition of schools to leave and move out of stjfl and join another league or maybe start their own.

If it happens it happens You show me a league and I will show you plenty of mess pissed of parents and rumors. I would rather stay around the corner then to go off and deal with people in areas . Someone is always going to feel cheated it never fails. At the end of the day it's about kids. At some point each league has felt like STJFL was picking on them and making unfair decisions. As long as all leagues recieve this heat I'm good with it. We are the worse enemies for these kids. They just want to play a little football with there friends and build some life time memories.

  4. Bridge City hurt over not drafting there Junior teams and rumors (since we talking about rumors here ) they still stacked a team. Man get over it these some weak people choose to let your league continue to participate in the playoffs this year when your OWN parents wanted the whole league put out for that stunt. The some team beat EC 59-00 and was given a warning and not a fortify for that action. The league has manged to keep things even understanding that this is youth football. Key word YOUTH not NFL football. You name your league I will tell you ways that STJFL has assisted your league or kids. So stop finger pointing.

You are correct to assume that, however the parent or coach has to declare when a child moves schools. By you account, I can have a LCM report card, move to BC over the summer and still play for LCM, not how that works.

You are right and his business was handled through the league.

I wasn't involved in any of this when PA was banned a few years back. So I wont pretend I know what that was about. I'm not sure people are looking for a reason or excuses, they are just tired of not only PA, but a few other schools getting away with questionable practices. All of PA teams are good, doesn't excuse the fact that rules are being bent or broken. Like I said, PA isn't the only one, I personally know a few others, but this thread is about the first comment that started it.

I have heard a couple of excuses

    1. Hurricane Harvey displacement. Kids go to a mid county school but they let them play in PA still due to Harvey

    2. A legacy waiver (whatever that means).

Either way it is bending the rules. STJFL in it's own by laws state UIL rules dictate all play and participation eligibility rules unless otherwise stated by STJFL. It is appeasement plain and simple.

SECTION 6. STJFL Registration Policy: Any association that is a charter member of the STJFL will be required to hold an open registration. Open Registration - allowing any child in the associations outlined boundaries an equal opportunity to register for participation in the league. No selecting of individual children will be permitted, no calling of certain individuals to allow them to sign up first will be permitted, and it must be equal for all. Each association must turn in dates, times and locations for at least two or more registrations to the STJFL board prior to registration starting. Any member of the STJFL may attend an association's registration unannounced. Registration must be held open until at least June 15th, it may be held open longer at the discretion of the individual association.

SECTION 4. All participants will be certified according to the school in which they attend. In the case where a school district has more than one elementary or junior high, the STJFL board will make a determination as to how the charter association will have to split the participants in their association. The Board of Directors board will consider size of community, locations of schools, school boundaries, etc. while making its determination. Any child that attends a private schooled must be certified in the district they live in. No child will be allowed to play outside of their school district without a waiver from the STJFL Board. The STJFL Board will consider any exceptions or special considerations. Waivers to the Section 4 certifcation process must be approved by 2/3 majority vote of a board that meet a Board Meeting Quorum.

Everyone knows PA stacks teams, hand picks kids and petitions for waivers every year. They don't need to in order to win but it happens.

Except for the kid in my son's class at Woodcrest in Port Neches who told me his mom was called and asked for him to play in PA for PA Red instead of playing for PN-G. I asked him why he wasn't playing this year and that was the response I got.

I really don't care but they can't say it don't happen. Just like the two twin boys that are Steven Jackson's nephews. They played for PA and went to school at Ridgewood in PN.

They played in TYFA now they returned to STJFL and they playing in PNG this year.

nah I think what everyone is saying is stjfl president juan is scared of PA. Not helping lol

The same Juan that banned the PA PW team 4 years ago ? Sorry it's not adding up. One person stats that a parent off PA RED PW was called and asked to play but ppl say The PW Blk team is the stacked team. Ppl all over the place looking for a reason.

We never backed out. It was all on yall part. We got word that yall couldn't get a field and stuff to host the games. So we ended up playing the Knights

Field and everything was already paid for. Was trying to get a date together that didn't interfere with HS playoff games. With the two teams combining we can pretty much use the main field in PA whenever we want. Nothing but respect from WOS they never run from the smoke. Just like we say in PA you win some you lose some. I know when we play WOS our kids get better.

The only problem I have is the the fact that the LEAGUE OFFICIALS are totally OBLIVIOUS to the fact that people have several kids in several events. Whomever the "DINGBATS" are that make the schedule should pay more attention to the HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULES. There's no reason folks should have to choose which event to be late for OR miss. Nimrods!

Are you guys the only ones that play on Saturday ? Maybe the members in PNYFA should take a look at there own schedule before hand. You can't ask a league to run your league for you. Plus if you have problems how about you mention it before the night of the schedule game and not lie on the fields being to wet as the reason to cancel your games. I'm just saying.

so what you're sayin is you are  PA...... funny though, port neches has a population of 12,898 and had 3 peewee teams last year. Nederland has a population of 17,491 and had 3 peewee teams last year. How good were the other PA teams last year, I didn't pay attenttion

There was five teams in PA only one played in STJFL. Don't bring up stacking teams cause Ned and PNG my have 4 flags 4 PW but they only having one Sr team. They lose 50 players in 3 years regularly ?
