i think they will do better next year....the coaches kid really is the better QB at running there offense

one of Vidors problems is the fans...i cant tell you how many times i have seen fans leaving the stands before the game is actually over....for example....6:30 left in the game down by 14 and people are filing out of the stands...what does a player think when he turns around and see people are leaving...well i can tell you that i would think...this game is over....instead of hollering D-fense and helping to motivate the team

they need to win a few games....bare with me on this one....you not going to get that need experience at the current level...to me it needs to start when you are much younger...i have heard that youth sports there is all about playing your coaches own kids...even when that kids will most likely never play HS by choice or becasue he isnt that good...those kids that do have a chance are usually put onto the back burner so to speak and never get to develop until JR high....some even get bored from not playing and quit....those examples happen in Lumberton as well....you start out with 80 or so kids in JR high and by Varsity time you have about 30 to 40...that is a huge loss...to me the kids need to play like Nederland, WOS, etc in a league like the STFL where they play different citties and its not structure on coaches kids

guys thanks for the comments....i prolly should have worded my frustration a lot differently and not offended so many of you....i would wear anyones colors if i was asked becasue i do support SETX football and regardless all kids in this area need to hold their heads up high as it takes a special man to play football ...win or lose you all are winners

to me it seems that the teams in this area that dont should join a league like that....arent there two leagues out their that play other cities

to me its seems that if you do indeed have good coaching it could be a huge advantage....i use Silsbee and East Chambers for example....i have heard that they play in a league where they play together from flag until they reach high school

what are the advantages of not playing together?

Do you think a team that has played together from Little League will have an advantage over a team that hasnt? State your reason.

you guys have proven my point on here over and over and over....you guys with winning records or playoff berths always talk down to the rest that are not as sucessful.....you dont have that right just becasue your team is better then most teams....just becasue someone is from a town like Lumberton or Vidor they have just as many rights to state their opinions as you do....but when someone form here wins or speaks their mind you immediately call them names like you have througout this post....why catn you support the losing schools just as well as the winning ones.....maybe our district might improve as a whole ....

yeah i see that my point was lost a long time ago...this post was to defend the players that everyone makes fun of each week on these boards...my point was about the kids....if Lumbertons QB was as good as say Centrals....would he be less a player if the rest of his team did not help him make the playoffs and he sat home.....to me NO....just because your team makes the playoffs does not make anyone better than anyone else....i think that was what i had said in the original post to a degree

i agree and wins do not earn my respect.....sportmanship, heart, humble to Gods gifts, pride....know any teams that dont talk trash on the opponents they beat....bet you have a hard time finding them....it was just funny that you all jumped on Lumberton and Vidor and even heard BH mentioned.....what gives you the right to put these teams down.....NOTHING.....

ok....now that i have everyones attention let me make the point of this post very clear to each and every team in SETEX.....we talk trash about each other on here all the time and good trash talking is good for competition sake.....but all too much we poke fun at some schools who do not make the playoffs every year and lessen there hard work and heart by bashing them very unsportmanslike...calling names...for example.....as soon as this post was read people assummed it was someone from Lumberton or Vidor...why is that....do these to schools not deserve respect for putting on the pads and playing every friday night.....sometimes the scores do not tell how much heart or pride the team has.....these two teams have just as much heart and pride as WOS....Nederland etc......as soon as you were all linked together you immediately talked down to me assumming i was from one of those two schools......so i go back to the original statement.....why does making the playoffs mke you better then the previous schools......you are not and i repeat better than those less fortunate schools......Blessed YES.....better no.....one day you could easily find yourself in there shoes......respect everyone....

just funny that the 2 schools i am hearing from is Nederland and WOS....the two teams that brag about making the playoffs year after year and bad mouth everyone else but never mention that in all the playoff appearance how many times did they CHOKE and go home...again you are no better than anyone else....

why does my school matter....for the record I have 2 State Championship in my career but that doesnt make my school or me any better than those schools that have none....

guys you wish i was from Lumberton.....you are the kinda guys that im talking about....why are you settling on just making the playoffs every year....before this area will ever be the feared area of the state we have to only settle for CHAMPIONSHIPS....

hey how many time have the AGGIES won the national championship.....still does not make them a great team just because they win conference games....

so just for curiousity.....when is the last time somoene from this area or Deweyville won the state championship....

guess what im trying to say is that we brag all the time about how great football teams are here in SETX but what do we have to show for it ...to prove to everyone that we are a force in high school football like some of the other schools in the state

same thing for WOS.....yeah they beat up on everyone here in SETX but do they win state every year....NOPE....so why does it matter that they go unbeaten and win the D-TITLE every year

who really cares about how many time you have made it to the playoffs...i hear that a lot on here...like for example Nederland...they brag about their streak getting into the playoffs...does it really matter....only thing matters is how many times you have won the championship...kinda like saying hell im a great lottery player cause i pick 4 out o 6 numbers all the time...or in a 12 round champion ship bout i lasted 2 rounds....you are no better then the guys that stayed hone because in the end you have nothing just like them
