I see you're an NDN...and I'm sure you want to watch a highschool game, but wanted to let you know that our Groves 7th and 8th grade boys are playing tomorrow night in Bridge City! -
Games start this week...can't wait to see my 7th and 8th graders play!

Yep...we play in Siloam Springs, Arkansas starting July 29th! Great baseball played this weekend, boys! Ready to watch some more!

Can't wait to see my boys play again this summer! I'll have a 7th and 8th grader from PNG playing! Love seeing my guys play! My oldest had a great time last year...good way to get em ready for the season!

Is it too late for a 13 yr old to sign up? I have a friend who missed out on sign ups and tryouts...can she still sign her son up to play?

This one is at "The Butch", but I might be able to catch the Central game at The Reservation... Since Brenham's game is on Thursday that week.

You are SO right about the atmosphere at PNG games! There's nothing like it!! Can't wait to see my 6th and 7th graders play on Friday nights in that purple uniform!! Hope you enjoy the experience at "The Reservation!"

Groves 7th grade won 28-12 against Vidor Gold Tuesday.
Their first game against Mauriceville on 9/7 was cancelled due to weather, they won 20-0 against Central MS on 9/14, and tied Vidor Black 20-20 on 9/21. GO GMS BRAVES!! I'm not sure how the 8th graders have been doing.

Teamraider, I do see that it's been changed to reflect the new rules. Since it wasn't updated at the time I was looking at it, I was VERY confused! The way it was worded was definitely confusing! I appreciate everyone helping me understand the information I was questioning. Thanks again!

Thank you VPATH, you said just what I was thinking in the last part of your post. There is a team in Senior that I believe has kids way over the 160 lbs, and I'm concerned that some kids may get hurt pretty bad out there! I don't really know what to do from here to have it addressed, but I really appreciate you confirming what I was thinking. :-\

How are everyone's 7th grade teams doing?

I'm curious if I'm reading this right...I could be wrong, but doesn't this statement from STJFL say that if a player goes over the weight limit in their age division they can move up with no position restrictions, but still have to make the overall weight requirement to still be able to play in that division?

I have a 7th grader, and his first game is today! (We're super excited about the season!) But what I want to know is: What happens if we have bad thunderstorms? Do they usually reschedule 7th grade games? Or will we play no matter what? Anyone know?

Yea C.O. won with real class! They were up 35-18 with less than 30 sec left in the game, on their own 20yd line and threw pass down the sideline for a TD. Boy that's a way to show our kids how to act!

Giving up? It really looked like showing off to me...doing a flip in the endzone (especially at their age) isn't the way to act. But that's only my opinion :)
