Taking a break isnot as much as a problem for the child as it is for the parent. My oldest (19) never shut the engine off, and I didn't either, he had to take a break at 15 and have elbow surgery. Hello! The year he had off made both of us realize what was important. He came back refreshed and determined to succeed. Just finished his 2nd year of college ball. My youngest son (14) took a year off when he was 9 and planning to take this summer off. I say allow the breaks, before your kid breaks!

Go to school and get some education. Early rounds = big money, I understand that. I would take it. Later rounds, stay in school, hit the books, get a degree, develop your skills, and if you got something left then you go for it. Ask MIF04, i bet you he agrees.

Back to Bearball. Bearball isnot the longball. Bearball is execution. Just to make it clear.(a mode or style of performance; technical skill, as in music: The pianist's execution of the sonata was consummate.) Execute, execute, execute!!! Laying down a bunt, hitting your cut off, being in the right spot for a cut off, hitting the ball to the right side with runners in scoring position, staying down on the ball, talking it up,............ the long ball is a bonus. Let's go bears. Get er done.

PNG played very well and LCM not so well. Harrington was very solid tonite. Worked ahead on every batter. On a good note for LCM, Wadell (soph) and Thompson threw pretty well in relief against some hot PNG bats. Good job PNG. LCM will recover and finish strong this second half.

LCM is starting to get it togeather. Look out 2nd half.

I just heard Vidor is protesting the game due to illegal equipment used by the Bears.

Should be a close game. I think some adjustments have been made by the bears, some tweeking you might say. LCM will pull it out.

The Bears are getting it rolling again. I haven't seen too much small ball from from the Bears this season, I guess the big ball is working pretty good.

Batman & Robin @ LCM do a great job. Why? Respect. Nobody cares what you know until they know that you care. They care about every young man's success on and off the field. They just don't put out good ball players each year, they put out some good young men!
