  1. I think Vidor will lose some games they aren't supposed to and LCM will beat some people they weren't "predicted" to beat according to the magazine. Nederland, in my opinion, will struggle this year and not make the playoffs, primarily due to the loss of their qb. The main thing about LCM is they need to play every game like they are playing WOS. They always put so much into that game because they want to win so bad and the kids get hyped up and all and it's always a great game. I hope they can continue to play well and get better every single game. It would be great for them to make the playoffs this year, but not knowing what the other front runners have in their stockyards, it's hard to tell if the three we have seen will beat those we haven't seen.
  2. I'm thinking Orangefield is gonna be in the hunt for one of the top three spots. Coach's son looks pretty darn good.
  3. LOL...LCM has more of everybody on varsity than WOS does. I was merely commenting that it is strange for WOS to have sophomores playing on varsity, and especially that many.
  4. Aren't there 5 sophs on the varsity roster for WOS? FIVE!!!!
  5. I missed this one! I thought surely K'ville would take the game.
  6. I think the Bears are NOT going to finish last in their district as some have predicted!
  7. Moody is the coach that started this game back up a few years ago. He shouldn't have HAD to be pressured into playing a game that was already on schedule! It was unbelievable that he tried to back out of it. moody is also the one that had to be pressured into playing it last year!
  8. Where is the Cow Palace, flipper? Are either of them on the main drag? (Cow Palace and Branding Iron). I don't recall seeing either of these when I've gone through Dayton.
  9. Or into the endzone for no return
  10. LOL...we might as well expect the pooch kick all year! ;D
  11. Get there early! A parking place is harder to find than a seat in the stands! The seats in the stands are horrible, though!
  12. No matter what the score, I have always felt that the Bears have played with a passion against the Mustangs. And vice-versa. I had tremendous respect for them especially last year because I never saw them give up at all!!!!
  13. All anybody can do is nominate players that they have actually SEEN play. The stats will speak for themselves.
  14. You don't just have a "bigger" server... You have a server with MORE POWER! Hopefully on Friday Nights we can check out the scores from the stadiums (for those who have cell phones with web browsers). After all...there are addictions to feed! Too funny!
  15. Thanks. I was wondering what happened.
  16. Well....thank goodness WOS finally called the UIL...usually, it's the other way around on teams calling UIL about WOS!!!!! LOL
  17. Will it be on again sometime during the week? I'd like to see if we still get as many penalties on the replay as we did during live action last night.
  18. I thought he looked awesome and played tough! There are FIVE sophomores listed on the program on the varsity squad. ;D
  19. Whereas I think your first paragraph is honorable, I was wondering if you thought it necessary to pick on "Orange County" athletes. Not sure to whom you are referring, but it sure does make the kind words offered at first sound sort of bitter. What brought that on?
  20. Well it's not completely crazy to think that a JV and a Varsity squad may be comparable at their own levels. The gene pool is the same for both teams. Not this year. And that statement is wrong in general. Many times, a strong soph class will find it's way on the varsity level, depleting the JV. Good try though. Not really. That DOES go both ways because WOS will have several Sophomores and Jr's on the varsity as well. Which include both our corners, QB and RB. The JV is hard to figure because of this. Usually you get a good gauge at the freshman level because most coaches leave the Freshman teams together. For some reason, though, Hooks has several Freshman up on the JV. Mainly the QB. I had heard there was an abundance of freshmen, but the JV players were scarce. Heard there wasn't even enough to field a team on the jv level, thus the reason for bringing players up from the freshman team.
  21. Sounds like the story got cut off....we wanna hear "the rest of the story". LOL
