this topic is like a bigfoot sighting, you dont believe it until you see it. hate to bust everyone's bubble, but full rides do exist. only the elite of elite get them.  in fact it is possible to get more than 100% of your school paid for.  'we will throw in some more money to pay for your cable bill and phone bill,' /s/ Local Div 1 Head Baseball Coach.
This can't be true. I know first rounders, and ex college roommates that didn't get full rides.

Like I told you before never been to a a little leauge game but if you guys shape your game after professionals or the college sports than that is sad. At one time I thought high school sports was the puriest form of athletics, I guess I was wrong. Baseball is not the only sport. By the way I never back down from anything. Maybe you should try your luck and see. ;D
Dude you should give up now. Rake is 100% correct in his reasoning as to why the players do this, it also speeds up the game. If it was disrespectful, I guarantee you Landry wouldn't allow it, much less go pick up their helmet.  Why would teams not shape their game after professionals or college teams?  Isn't that the ultimate goal for 99% of high school baseball players?

Ford is very good probably best SS prospect in the class of 2015 in the area and that's a very good class.
I'll do anything to impress Chad Shepherd  ;D
No need to try to impress me you already have cause your the only person I have ever heard of getting a full baseball scholarship and then you didn't it take it crazy. I know this my roommate in college was a freshmen All-American and he wasn't on a full ride.
Good for him. I know a guy that got drafted in the 39th round, and signed for a million dollars. You never hear of that either, so what's your point?

Taken batters to full counts and depending on how many the batter fouls off helps to elevate a pitch count. If they want to have him around the rest of the season  no matter if he has a no hitter going you still stick by the pitch count you set for the kid. It's not about the kid, it's about the team .
I understand all this, and again I'm not questioning the coach. I'm just saying, 0 runs, 0 hits, and he usually doesn't walk a lot of people, there would have to be a lot of foul balls and errors. What would you consider a high pitch count?
It's all relative.  In the grand scheme of things what does a no hitter against Ozen your freshman year really matter?  I would rather have him healthy and fresh in the playoffs and the next 3 years of his career than throw a no hitter in a meaningless game.
You really think he would be less healthy and fresh if he threw 15 more pitches?

 8.
I very seriously doubt you had a full ride. I know several kids get drafted in the first round that didn't have full ride offers.
You're right, I made it up to sound cool ;)
 9. I know the obvious answer would be pitch count....but with 0 runs scored, one would assume his count wasn't too high, especially since he doesn't walk many batters. I wasn't questioning the coaches decision, just curious cause I know it's a tough call for a coach to make.
 10.
Final Ozen 0 Png.  5 Combined no hitter, Leckich and Hearald. HR's by Saatzer and Mullens Ozen got no hit for the week
Man, why would you pull him one inning from a no hitter?
 11. Ford may not sign with Rice, but he will play college baseball at a major d1 college. Some people do sign full rides, although it is uncommon. I signed a full ride out of high school with Lamar, never went and opted to go juco though.
 12. When I was in high school the Beaumont Enterprise kept track of all that. Once a week they would publish the leaders for different categories.  Wonder why they don't do this anymore.
 13.
Final HF.  01000.    1-2-0 BC    330032. 11-12-1 P. BC Pittman P. HF Herring B-1. Landed on top of the cages.
 14.
I really wish the newspaper would get things right..... Its Jared Ramoin not Jake. And Stampley hasn't been there due to an injury. And Lance Ledoux is a Jr not a sophomore. Havent watched many PNG games but from what I have heard and read sounds as if the Leckich might be their ace with Ledoux right behind him.... (i have watched Ledoux play in the past and back then he was a heads up pitcher) I wish they would throw Ashworth (their ace according to the paper) tonight. Because I feel as if Nederland could shake him up really fast. Good luck to both teams tonight :)
;D  ;D  ;D
