[/quote] Of course losing him is going to hurt, no one can run that offense like he did.  However, the problem today was the offfensive line missing their assignments.  But thats what scrimmages are for.  The bright spot today was the defense, espically considering two starting linebackers where out.  I cant wait for Thursday to see if we have really improved that much or if it was that we were playing against an offense we are familar with.

I love that we end the season at BridgeCity, if it is half as exciting as last years game it will be a great way to wrap up the season.

As you can tell from my number of posts I generally keep my opinions to myself but..... How about KFDM NO CLASS for: 1. Laying the blame for the loss on the shoulders of one player when it was obivious from the stats that the whole offense struggled. 2. Refusing to man up and admit that the best team won, no excuses.

LCM Freshman Hayden Reed qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympics today in the shotput with a throw of 50' 7". He finished third at Regionals and will travel to North Carolina at the end of the month to compete in the Nationals. He is throwing the discus tomorrow and has the chance to compete in two events at Nationals with a third place or higher finish. Great job Hayden. Update, Hayden qualified in the discus today with a throw of 145' 4". He will compete in both events at nationals.

You are mistaken about his speed, he has plenty of speed and he could have played with LCM's varsity last year.

His name is Hayden Reed and he is a stud. They have him playing tackle, but he is strongest at end, he will have a good showing this year.

If you know that 15 have applied how about giving the names.

Two years ago I was fishing the east jetties with about 15 other boats, after the game wardens went boat to boat only two of us were left. I have made 2 trips this week south of the causeway (both jetties and light house cove) and did well both trips. I have been working tons of overtime and this was my first chance to get out since Nov 08. I was shocked at the quality of fish we caught. On Wednesday we had 15 over 3#'s.

I noticed in Sunday's paper LCM only sent 1 athlete between the boys and girls teams to regionals-Hayden Reed Discus and Shot Put. I know the baseball coach doesn't let the varsity boys go out for track, but I would have thought will all the athletes at that school, there would have been more than one person advance. Was it just an off year?

Silva's last two fights have been total disappointments. He has done just enough to get the win without risking taking any punishment. That's just not what I expect to see on the main event of any MMA card. I understand some of what Lidell is saying, but the fact is Silva went over a minute into the first round before he through the first punch. The song and dance about him liking to start slow is kind of getting old, especially when he goes slow the whole fight. Whether he is or isn't, it looks like he is just going through the motions and is boring to watch.

I sure hope Florian gives Penn a beating. Penn showed his lack of class the way he accused GSP of cheating instead of admitting he was totally overmatched.

I read an interview with White last week and he said that Chuck had signed a service contract with UFC in the event that he lost this fight with Rua. I know Chuck loves to compete, but he has to face the fact that age has caught up with him. I'll sure miss him.
