6A Division 2 Region 1 & 2 are very tough feature solid teams up and down ones I see that are comparable. Oh and Keep Rolling BIG BLUE love them BUNA COUGARS!!!!!!!!

I agree 100% John Curtis High School in Louisiana has won 26 state titles running the Veer, they have beat top teams all over the country running it. When you run it right it is set up to make 3 to 4 yards a play control the clock and keep the chains moving. Makes a long night for even the best defenses and is a very simple offense but very very hard to stop!!!

The only highlights I could find was Rockdale-Lago Visa. And they threw the ball alot and their defense couldn't stop the run.

Same here watched two videos against Caldwell they were getting gashed up the middle by the run, they are def a passing team they have 1 back with over a 1000 yards. Use the run mixed in to balance.

From the research I have done they run a pretty balanced attack on offense, they pass more than they run. They utilize 4 running backs but Dailynn Ramey receives the majority of the carries. They have 2 QB'S that have over 1000 yards passing Dylan McCartney being the more utilized QB. Two good recievers Loth & Lara, 800 & 700 yards yards for them Loth is 6' 4" 205. Defense looks good but tends to give up yards on the ground. Loth, Lara & Ramey are their go to guys on offense their primary weapons. If Buna comes out plays our football we can keep moving on, they have lost one game to Little River Academy. Buna plays so physical Rockdale did beat Cameron Yoe, I just don't know how many teams have seen a defense this physical!! Backing my boys in Blue in this one should be another dandy!!

You wouldn't be the first one that doubted this Cougar football team, they don't mind being the underdogs been doing it all season you might want to hide and watch, GUARANTEE it wont be handily!!!!!!!! It will be a close game two hard nose teams going at it for 4 quarters the winner will be who makes the less mistakes you can bet on that!!!! IMO two very equally balanced teams with similar schemes on both sides of the ball backing my Cougars in a close one!!!!!!!!!!!!

So excited about this playoff game for both programs two very physical smash mouth type ball clubs, going to leave it all on the field Friday night. It will be a battle indeed both teams feature a fantastic run game with the pass to go along as well, Dowell looks like a top caliber back our front seven will have to stay disciplined stay in their gaps and lay the hat on him every play. Close game IMO with the team making the least mistakes the winner going to be all about adjustments for Buna making the pass offset the run, and feed them a steady dose of our 6 man backfield and sticking to their receivers like glue to try and force them to be one dimensional. Backing my Buna Cougars in this one no doubt and hoping for an injury free ball game, LETS GO BIG BLUE keep rolling do work on Friday night!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Dowell is a powerful back with speed to boot, they throw as well but really to offset the run. Buna needs to play our football smash mouth run it down your throat football with the pass to keep them off balance. There defense has been suspect against the run and let our stable of backs feed it to them. Lay the wood to Mr. Dowell every play and keep mistakes down and let chips fall where they may. Going to be a shoot out 56-50 Buna keep rolling Big Blue do work Cougars!!!

Malakoff is a run heavy team featuring running back Marcus Dowell strong powerful running back with speed too boot. They do pass and have a decent passing game good solid defense have been suspect against the run tho. Teague lit there secondary up but Teague tends to do that to teams. Teague can't stop the run have been gashed all season Marcus Dowell from Malakoff ran for 307 yards. Yes they score a ton of points great passing team and have a solid running back. But if Kountze plays mistake free and can control the clock with the run and keep Teague off the field. Anything can happen on Friday night good luck Lions from your neighbors in Buna Texas!!!!

As everyone has said on here Buna has a quality team and no doubt will be ready on Friday night. Last nights game was a loss but was not a 56-0 drubbing by any means. The players executed what plays were called to the best of there ability. Let's not forget this team was 7-0 for a reason very gifted team very physical yes Kountze can beat Buna if Buna fails to adjust. Buna had two drives stall in the red zone yes EC beat us hands down but Buna hung right there all night. With all that said I know Kountze will be ready and are hungry as well but Buna is solid. And Kountze will have to bring there "A" game to beat these Cougars will be another dandy of a game Friday night. Two great teams battling for the better playoff position but if Buna brings it like they always do when the dust settles I think Cougars are just to tough. Can't wait till Friday!!!

Yes sir ECFAN had my machos flamingo and went to the game just like I wanted :D I'll tell you what I would have a hard time believing that someone one the field could hit harder than Phelps but #44 for Buna proved me wrong last night. That kid could bring the wood!!

Wasn't at the game last night but heard from friends that were at Buna EC game. Buna made zero adjustments on both sides of the ball they played the same game the whole game. With that said I have played & watched Cougar football all my life. And the Kville game when coach T made adjustments it blew my mind I was so excited they adapted cause honstely usually don't happen never has. We usually stick to one game plan and either live or die by it sad but true. So if Kountze comes in and they stop our run and find something that works on offense they have all the chance in world to beat us hands down!! Simply put one trick ponies just don't do very well, love my Cougars players & Coaches but adapting is part of the game and we have to do better to succeed. Buna is very talented very physical and I say Buna still wins this game imo but Kountze is right there in the hunt for sure!! This is def one of the best teams to come out of Buna ever, great group of kids they will bounce back keep rolling BIG BLUE!!
