  1. Kaitlin Broussard - cf for Anahuac - signed with Alvin Community College
  2. Correct. Da'Wac is very impressive right now. The Panthers will be even better this year!
  3. good eye - good eye - good eye.......ball! Or was it a strike? Cant wait until I retire and become a blue! ;D
  4. I was told by my guy inside the UK athletic dept that last time the only guy they wanted more than BCG was Donovan and he told me that again yesterday. They did not even call Calipari last time and his exact words were..........."why would we get Rick Barnes when all he does is underachieve at Texas." So all of those other things were rumors. BCG was their number 2 last time and it just turned out to be the wrong choice. It is so funny how quick we all forget how hot BCG was two years ago. He was invincible throughout college basketball and now he has a bad run and we all forget how good he was. You are right in the fact if he is smart he will take a job inside of texas. That is where his bread is buttered. Maybe a "bad run" for Kentucky's standards, but 22-14 isn't all that bad...SEC having a down year didn't really help his cause. I don't see him becoming anyone's assistant at this time...I think he wants to be a head coach, and Georgia could be the answer. Yes he should come back to Texas, or at least the Big XII, but I don't see him waiting around for that call!
  5. With all the coacing vacancies, where will Gillispie coach next year? ???
  6. Memphis or Mizzou should hire Gillispie!!! ;D
  7. Have a friend in the athletic dept. Really? Thats a heck of a deal for him!! Seriously Spinks, is it really a done deal? Talked to him several times today and he would not commit to it and now he has. 6.67 million a year and will be the highest paid coach in college basketball. Just ironing a few final things out in the contract and they may even announce him this afternoon. More inside info..............Mike Anderson of Mizzu to Memphis!!!! Wow...why leave the Big XII for C-USA?
  8. Well, Billy turned down 'Bama before Kentucky came calling 2 years ago....so, I'm thinking if Saban and football are going good, BCG will blend right on in! ;D I'm sure Crimson Tide fans would be thrilled with a record of 22-14
  9. Any ideas as to where Billy will end up coaching next? VCU? Virginia? I think 'Bama would be great so he could stay in SEC and beat Kentucky!! ;D Now that would be a true slap in the face!
  10. Oh he will play! I've got Memphis over UNC!
  11. Fair enough! Good luck with your bracket...you didn't pick UCONN to win it all huh?
  12. Well, if the refs had made the right call (or @ least a call) last year, #1seed UCLA would have lost to A&M, being the #9seed. Same set up this year, and while I do have UCONN winning in my bracket, an A&M victory wouldn't surprise me one bit. All of their losses in the tourney the last 4 years have come down to the last 30 seconds of the game and they're tough on a neutral court! This is the difference between being a fan and a fanatical fan. first off complaining about the referees from last years game I think it might be time to move on second. I really dont understand how you can make the statement that A&M winning wouldnt suprise you at all. Im not saying you cant root for them or that they cant win, but a win would be a suprise. I mean I love Ohio State Basketball and I would love for them to beat louisville but I dont expect them to. Texas fans want them to beat duke but I certainly think they would be suprised. Also saying that the last four years their losses have all been tight has no real relevance...They have a different coach..they have totally different players so I dont understand why what they did four years ago has an impact on this year. Okay it's hard to argue with that, but let me say this: Let's say Ags win...ok...wouldn't you say the surprise was that UCONN lost?!! It's all about perception! Oh, I picked UT to upset Duke! ;D
  13. I myself like Turgeon better, but as the headline reads, did he make the right move? While any coach would be stupid for turning down Basketball U (see Donovan @ Florida?), this obviously is a prime example of the wrong move, looking back of course. The headline doesn't read is he making the right move by going to UK! I'm just saying he probably would have benefited better by staying put a few more years, and honestly, Kentucky probably shouldn't have come after him. What seems funny is, I can see him replacing the coach that's gonna replace him!
  14. Well, if the refs had made the right call (or @ least a call) last year, #1seed UCLA would have lost to A&M, being the #9seed. 15. My final four: L'ville / Memphis / 'Nova / UNC Winner: Memphis Slipper: VCU
  16. The Aggies have way more depth and will win over BYU, but after that will be UCONN, and I just don't think A&M will win against the Huskies. However, they do play well on a neutral court, and I wouldn't be suprised if they gave UCONN all kinds of trouble.
  17. Oh I totally agree that he would have been foolish not to take the Kentucky job, but I also think this is a prime example of when the right move is a wrong move. Turgeon is a great coach and more likable anyway!
  18. Hind sight is 20/20, but things transpired fast for Billy and he probably should've stayed at A&M at least a few more years before accepting a new position, especially at Basketball U!! I don't think he'll be fired this year, but he will next year if they have the same results!
  19. Aggies will be dancing, period! They won't be left out with wins over Mizzou, Arizona, Texas, Okie St, & LSU, which are all tournament teams! WHOOP!
  20. Dang! This 1-upped the A&M vs. Baylor game from last year, which was 5OT's!!
  21. No NIT for the Aggies, they will dance....no Billy Clyde either. The Mizzou win locked them in!
