  1. Yo Mike - you left off Anahuac vs. Kinkaid!! Prediction???
  2. Yes, I suppose - content of the pic wasn't specified, but at least it shows up now!
  3. Lol...dang, where's the fun in that? Can you @ least fix your pic so that it shows up instead of a red x?
  4. Let's see here doc holiday, what exactly do you mean? A) Keeping timeouts? ( not in this case, panic had already set in) Don't have a kicker? C) Even if you had a kicker, Alvarez goes for the td from the 26 yd line? C'mon lunger, enlighten me!
  5. the new coach had no choice. the schedule was already set. but to his credit, he did have the guts to take the job. I think in the end it will be a good decision for him. Nice signature quote there j_dog!! lol Gilmer - 49 Jasper - 19
  6. Lumberjacks by 2....scenario: Kirbyville spikes ball to stop clock as time is running out and kicker misses 33yr field goal for the win!! Diboll - 35 / Kirbyville - 33
  7. Seems I remember the same thing only a few years ago happening to Kirbyville, a lot. Programs can turn around. Is that right Mr. ChampionEagles? Even when we were down San Augustine never just dominated Kirbyville. Newton was the team that gave us problems for years. Exactly! I remember numerous times Newton pulling it's starters after the first quarter when they were playing Kirbyville. It's easy to kick on somebody when they are down, but it really don't help build much of a team. To excell in the playoffs you need to be tested repeatedly. I'm glad Kirbyville has finally put a program together. And I remember ya'll have a one in a row winning streak going against the Eagles. You know, if ya'll two would sit back and think about this for a second, you could have 2 state champions from the same district!! Hey ana fan, have no doubt about it these two programs respect and love each other. I have said a millions times they are just like brothers. When it comes to these two they will fight and act like you have seen in most of these post. When it comes times to support each other you will not find any two programs that have a better relationship. Take notice to the names of the players, its pretty much one community of several families divided into two school districts. So you southern 2a schools that are kinda new to the newton-kirbyville (oops I mean Kirbyville-newton) rivalry take note! and tread lightly!! Tread lightly my a**!!!! lol In all seriousness I'm just like everyone else on here...wanting and expecting the best for my team in one hand, while stirring the pot with the other hand. Bottom line is...no matter how these district races turn out(well as long as we both place 1,2 or 3), Kirbyville will face Anahuac in the area round as we did last year. Good luck to your Wildcats and see you in a few months!!!!
  8. That's not entirely true - but you're somewhat on the right path, just don't get carried away with the sparks. Let's face it, if Hardin was a state title contender year after year, and if they had a great storied past then there wouldn't be any downplaying at all. While I am a supporter of MV and hope to see him succeed wherever he may go, it's Hardin's lack of success on the field that creates this quandry - and I mean no disrespect to Hardin by saying that. He's a big boy @ a small school that only plays small schools - and most athletes at these schools get overlooked or looked over (there's a difference)! As the team goes, so does Mitch - not the other way around, and until you understand that, you will crash and burn pilot. Good luck to your Hornets this year and maybe there's a future Aggie in the making.
  9. Yeah, you may be right - maybe I should have said 4 td's!!! It will happen @ least twice more than likely: Newton & Anahuac. EC fans / players, I'm rooting for ya'll in every game besides the one against my Panthers, but don't jump to any conclusions based on last week's scrimmage, it will give you a false sense of security. In last years district game EC scored first then got completely outmatched and blown out. While y'all are definitely better than last year's squad, so is Anahuac, and the outcome should be about the same: My crystal ball says...Panthers 41 - Buccaneers 20.
  10. Don't kid yourself too much, but there's nothing wrong with wishful thinking! By the time these 2 teams meet up @ EC, Panthers win by @ least 3 td's!
  11. Apparently your time is the only time that's being wasted - so be it. Who knows what will happen to MV, but I'm just baffled as to why you're so negative about this kid's future - wherever that may be?
  12. LOL - sounds like I may be the smarter of the two cats!!!! Bottom line, no MV won't play RB for A&M, but as a safety he would have the size and speed and could play a part in reviving A&M's defense. MV single-handly couldn't do this by himself - but to be a part of it and being from Hardin(local) sounds cool. The best way to look @ MV is to understand that he has more upside than downside, and that being Dayton's red-headed step child hasn't helped Playa'09 at all!! oops, did i say that? 8)

  14. Kirbyville owns the bi-district though....huh? Kirbyville may own the bi-district, but it won't be against us - we will receive another bye in the bi-district round due to district 24AA not fielding football teams(which sucks). However, there's no doubt we will play you guys again in the area round, probably @ LCM again since both of our schools are the biggest in the district (DI), no matter where you place(1,2 or 3)!! Y'all were supposed to win the game against the Panthers last year, but this year's playoff game could be an early exit for your wildcats - just sayin'!
  15. 1) The way I see it is...anytime any player receives any offer from any college, that's good news - Period! So, good for MV! 2) There is, by far, a double standard on athletes/talent from big schools to little schools - always has, always will! 3) Deior McNeal (going nowhere but had ops) from Anahuac was a better RB than Villemez, but being an Aggie fan, seeing a 6-2" 225lb safety from Hardin possibly bring back the "wrecking crew" in College Station would be nice.

  17. I will gladly stand by my previous prediction: Anahuac runs the table with a 6-0 district record, yet again! #2) Hardin @ 5-1 #3) EC @ 4-2 Good luck to all teams!!
  18. I wasn't able to make it to the scrimmage! Anybody know the outcome?
  19. We are not loaded with it, but I was told we do have one 4.4 guy and few that are around 4.6 but that is about all. HF will get a first hand view of speed this Saturday when they scrimmage the Panthers!
  20. Very nice complex to say the least. It's nice to know that most school district's will drop some coin on their athletic facilities - Anahuac not being one of them, of course! Besides new uniforms every 2 years, the home of the Panthers is basically the "land that time forgot!"
  21. I guess this is wishful thinking on your part, and there's nothing wrong with that...however, your Hornets aren't good enough to beat my Panthers(best athletes in the district, hands down). But I will let you know that I'm rooting for y'all to make the playoffs!
