And everyone of the games played have been good and entertaining. There is no other game played in SETX that can bring enough fans to be played at a venue like Ford Park. In this game it's not how you win, it's what you have to go through to win.  Hardin County Havoc......

DV is correct. The tide actually has turned.

Since both teams have been in same district ('07), HJ won 4 of the first 6 games played between the two. Since then, Silsbee has won 10 of 13.

I would say that is turning it around. ;)

We don't have to, people like you keep bringing it up....Silsbee has no doubt gotten the better of HJ after 2007 as repeated on this site over and over and over and over again. With as many athletes as Silsbee puts on the floor and almost twice the enrollment it's a wonder HJ has won any at all...Way to fight Hawks, very proud of you last night...

It's a pretty good stretch to say almost twice the enrollment, don't you think? Silsbee would have to add over 300 students to double the enrollment of H-J.  Very proud of Silsbee's multi sport athletes being able to compete with a bunch of year round basketball players.

One key thing contributing to Silsbee's recent dominance in the rivalry,  is that the H-J teams of the last 2-3 years have been somewhat soft at the guard position imo. Very good teams but lacked players that weren't afraid to mix it up a little, such as Bernard and Donahoe. Prudhomme wasn't afraid to but those other guys rattled our pgs pretty good causing turnovers.

I thought HJ's guards did a pretty good job of that last night in the 4th quarter.

Bernard's pressure was constant. Silsbee very rarely had 20+ point leads to withstand the late run.

No worries fellas I'm not upset...I have many friends in Silsbee I pull for them anytime they are not playing my hawks. as far as the enrollment issue, last time I saw it HJ had 545 and I had heard Silsbee was on the high end of 900... I'm not sure exactly, but that is what I heard.

Actually I was wrong. Silsbee's enrollment is 822. That was their enrollment number for this current realignment.

Silsbee's growth has picked up of late. After dropping for a few years it has leveled off for the last couple years. It's beginning to pick back up some.
