***NEDERLAND VS. BEAUMONT CENTRAL SEMIFINAL BROADCAST/Central wins 54-46

Championship Semifinal #1 of the BISD/YMBL Shootout at the Montagne Center will feature a couple of 20-4A foes as the Nederland Bulldogs take on the Beaumont Central Jaguars.  The Bulldogs made their way to the semifinals with an opening round win over New Orleans O.P. Walker on Thursday, 56-52, followed by a 2nd round win over Silsbee on Friday, 57-54.  Meanwhile, the Jaguars made their way to this game with a 68-48 opening round win over Fort Bend Ridge Point and followed that up with a 53-46 victory over Port Arthur Memorial on Friday.

The winner of this semifinal will face the winner of the Dallas Madison/Beaumont West Brook semifinal which immediately follows this one.

I loved the way Central battled back when they were down early.  A couple of key buckets by Mitchel and Pearson got us going.  Way to gut it out and make it to the championship round.  We'll need our best game top beat Madison and their twin towers.
