Even though I'm a bulldogs fan, Ozen could go the furthest in our district thanks to the new format
[/quote]
What new format?

20-4a 1,2 plays 19-4a 2,1 and 20-4a 3,4 plays 19-4a 4,3 instead of 1v4 etc.. so Ozen will be playing an easier team

It would be 1 vs 4 except big school/small school overrules who plays who.  Always been like that, just a silly system.  You play with teams in your class and district all year then all of a sudden at playoff time your too big or small to play with those same schools????  Ridiculously silly IMO

Yeah pretty silly, but we are going to have to deal with it, SC or Dayton better be ready for Ned.

I see Nederland taking this one 35-20...Central seems to have some issues in the kicking game which will lead to field position problems...they do not want to lose that battle to Nederland with that defense...Mitchell is dangerous and he will make some big plays...Central likes to take shots downfield and they may be able to have some success here but that also plays into two of Nederland's strengths which are pressure from the front and the ability to get takeaways from the secondary...Nederland needs a tester before entering the playoffs as the last 3 games have been pretty uneventful...Central will be motivated for sure and I think that is a good thing for the Dogs...the Dogs are also highly motivated to go undefeated in district again and get that undisputed DC.

Go Dogs...finish what you started!

Like someone said earlier on this thread: "I just don't see Central's line playing good enough against an extremely tough Bulldog defensive line." I didn't get to see Central's last game but heard Mitchell went off and know they have gotten much better since they played Ozen. Of course Nederland will rest their starters in the second half or 4th quarter for sure, but by that time the game may be too out of reach. Injury free game I hope and whoever makes it into the playoffs goes far.

PERFECT...Kimler can get another 2 or 3 picks from centerfield and the others will get a few also!  Lets get to that 20 on the year!

If Ozen beats Lumberton, Central loses to Nederland and Ozen loses to LCM that will put the 3 of them in a tie with a 3-4 record for the fourth spot.  How do they determine the winner when Ozen beat Central/lost to LCM; Central beat LCM/lost to Ozen and LCM beat Ozen/lost to Central?....omg, I'm so confused! Can someone please shed a little light on this please?!  ???

if it ends up in a 3 way tie between Ozen, Central, and LCM, the tiebreaker is point differential between the 3...the advantage here woudl go to Ozen since they beat Central by 20 earlier in the season:

LCM    -13
Central  -4
Ozen      +15

OBAMA pulled off the upset according to TEXANS. again without the states electoral votes. So why can't the Jags do the same? Comparison OBAMA hated by most TEXANS as you can see based on the numbers in Texas!! The Jags straight an clearly the underdog in this district match!! Anything can happen. Good luck to both teams.

Nice try. Obama was far from an underdog in this election. Vegas had him as a 3 1/2 to 1 favorite. He was the underdog in Texas and did lose Texas. I have no clue what this has to do with Friday night's game though.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
