I was there..there was alot going on at this game....we had both middle school bands, the alumni Band and the participants of the Indianette Clinic. Sad to see the Indians couldn't pull off a win for the last game at the Reservation this season.

HEY!  Don't forget the Alumin Band too!  LOL

I agree that this is one that PNG has a shot at...it will be interesting to see how Ozen reacts after getting beat badly last week

Everyone should just LOVE PNG,  we make everyone look awesome!

Ya know, I can honestly say I agree.

However, I do think your freshman Qb will do fine in the next several years for Png.  You just need a solid running back and a couple of outstanding receivers to go with him.

Also, need fundamentals on Defense and PNG can turn this around quickly starting as earlier as next season.

By the time that freshman Qb is a Senior, PNG could be back on top.

I'm not gonna fibb, I wasn't there, and by the looks of it I didn't miss much. All I got was that ozen won. What was the score? Not that it means anything. I'm assuming the younger kids got some playing time. Did AJ start at qb or did they start tghe freshman? Heard he doesn't want to play QB , wants to be at the Linebacker position. Has anyone else heard that?

Ozen 27  PN-G 14

Uneventful game...AJ started and finished. Someone posted on the PN-G sports board that Trey Rembert a LB was moved to varsity, dont know if he had any playing time. I also heard that the freshman QB wants to stay with his team...which if this is true, would be a solid decision. But thats just hearsay.

Smith did start but Walker is supposed to be back this week. Faircloth played alot of underclassmen against Ozen. Caleb Sparks (soph) and a freshman linebacker. The freshman QB is not on varsity. Don't really know if he wants to play D but probably will because Walker will start at QB for the next 2 years.

That freshman team is close. They function as a unit - with one heartbeat, as an old coach would say. I don't blame the QB for wanting to stay with his team.

I have heard this also. Keeping them together would benefit us in the long run (maybe state), and he would get more playing time instead of being backup to Walker.

I don't want to count any unhatched chickens, but I think this freshman group is going to do the Reservation proud. They've also got a good sophomore group ahead of them and a good 8th grade group behind them.

The future is bright at PN-G.

i have to agree. never could stand seeing a kid move up to V on the chance he may play, when he could be playing down and developing. there is alot of kids that mis valuable playing time because they are good enough for V just not good enough to be the starter.

You know this for sure? Walker has proven his worth at another position of need (DB) and could be a big help at WR also.
If you havent seen Morse you don't know. My money is on Morse at QB with Walker at WR/Wildcat/RB/Jack of all trades!

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
