Before I had season tickets, getting MCM tickets was a nightmare.. Even now that I have season tickets, I waited in line almost three hours the other day to pick them up. (that's when season ticket holders can also buy away games, i.e. PNG) and since the PNG game is reserved seating for the most part, it takes forever because soooo many people sign a form and give it to a friend to guy buy their season ticket holders.. So you may have one person in line with 10 or 15 people's season ticket forms buying for MCM.. They have to find another way..

Good man.  :)  You probably will need to find someone on the Ned side that has too many tickets or can't go.

Well..  You will certainly be able to hear it loud and clear while sitting on the Nederland side.  :D

Oh yeah!  Probably better from the Nederland side than part of the PNG side!  I love my seats by the band...not the same if you can't hear Cherokee!  ;D ;)

Question: anyone ever thought of moving this game to a neutral site? I mean, I totally understand the whole "home and home" "district game" thingy. I just think that it could possibly benefit both schools if say maybe if they moved just that particular game to stadium.  Would  be much more roomier th an the visitor side at The Reservation....JMPO though!

Lamar charges for use of their stadium and get's 100% of all concessions.

The Res holds 13,000, Lamar holds 16,000. PNG would lose money on that deal.

And give up holding Mid-County Madness in front of a packed house at the Reservation? Never. There is no experience like that anywhere else in high school football, and holding MCM anywhere other than Indian Stadium and Bulldog Stadium, except for in extreme cases, would take away from the tradition and folklore surrounding the rivalry.

cant wait for the day they meet in a playoff game.
Then we might play at Lamar, although it would probably take Reliant to make sure everyone had a seat. PN-G already brings massive crowds to late-season playoff games. Playing one against Nederland would probaby bring in tens of thousands of fans for both teams.

IH-10 would be jam-packed.

Mr Buddy Garrity, I have a ticket for you. I'd love for you to join me and my wife to enjoy this ballgame. Of course it is on the PNG side. I'll even scrounge up a purple shirt for you to wear and an Indian stadium seat cushion. I'll even treat you to a chick-fil-a sandwich. I will ask that you respectfully stand whenever Cherokee is played. How about it?

Wise choice Buddy!!! There are some real loonies over on the Purple side!!!
Please don't lump us all together for a select few loonies.  Every community has loonies.  I love my Indians but I can appreciate other teams.  Heck my daughter has been dating a Bulldog for 6 years but I don't hold it against him.  ;)

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
