Walter Yates Jr. aka Dick Vitale, officially accepted an assistant men's basketball job at Midwestern State University....NCAA Division II school in Wichita Falls, TX......in the Lone Star Conference with West Texas A&M, Tarleton State, Abilene Christian, Incarnate Word, Texas A&M-Commerce, etc.

Congrats Walter and good fortune in your new job.

Doubtful. I grew up in WF and actually attended MSU for a year.

MSU had a great basketball program in the 70's before NCAA/NAIA cracked down on kids getting an actual education  8)

Probably not- He still feels that the one transfer HJ has gotten in the last 5 years is much more serious than the current 41 that Yates has coming in this fall.

I want to personally thank all of you guys on here for the well wishes....I have been so busy on the recruiting trail, I haven't had much time to be on here lately, but its not like you guys will miss Ole DV or anything!!  ;D ;D...Oh and by the way Bluedove, AAU is NO LONGER the DEVIL!! ;D ;D...It is a "necessary entity" now!! 8)

I think that clashes with the juco jamboree in St. Louis that we are attending, PLUS we have our camp coming up...I will be in Vegas though at the end of the month, though...Orlando too...
