in district alone howell had a 104 k's in 57 innings .

Congrats to all the young men!!! Once again, it was an exciting year in 24-2A!!!  The talent in this district knows no end!

Obviously its WAY 2 early 2 project much of anything but becauase i could not follow this district this season as much as i would have liked to, what are the returning numbers for each team and the predicted finishes for each school as well?

Hard to say with this district changing.  Buna moving to 21-3A and Warren into district 20-2A.  Buna was 1st in that district for all 6 years they were in it and Warren has been 2nd for the last 2 years.  Hardin has been third, I know, for at least the last couple of years.  Should be interesting!!!

These are Bryant's stats from this past season when he was selected All Dist and All State.  EC also had another player who was selected to All State... Beckett who was a soph.

Congrats to Byant. But just for fun, lets compare stats from maxPreps.
Bryant - All state. BA 0.538 (32nd in TX), SLG 0.827 (40th in TX), OBP 0.632 (24th in TX).  11/12 on stolen bases.

Watts from Warren, 2nd team district, BA .525 (38th in TX), SLG. 0.775 (74th in TX ), OBP .636 (23rd in TX) . 15/16 on stolen bases...

Not to take anthing away from Bryant. Seen him play, great bat, a legit threat at the plate. But awards do not equal wins and there are a LOT of good players out there without the awards, this is just one example.... :)

At the very least, there will be a new district champion here, a few challenges over the past 6 years, but no conquerors.  Just the fact that Buna is moving up, will make all the teams look better.  Should shape up to be a barnburner next year.

Has not the outlook of Baseball in Buna changed with the transfer of a player or two...well this next year it should be okay but the following couple of years...looks pretty weak...we will see you guys back in 2A in a couple of years. I am sure the landscape will look way different!

I dont know about "weak".  Yes I admit the outlook has changed and this next 2 years in 3a will be quite a task.  But as long as Buna is in 2a...they will dominate. 6 straight district titles shows more than just a string of good athletes. It shows a good program and a town with good baseball players at all levels. No team in that 2a district fields better teams than Buna 1 through 9.

I agree they were good and I think Buna will do fine in 3a this year as far as there district JMO
