Hull-Daisetta looking for Week 5 and 6 games!

One of our districts that was thrown a curveball was District 11-1A-I having only 4 teams in it.

As a result, Coach Slack at Hull-Daisetta notified me that he is looking for Games in Week 5 and 6 to round out his non-distict schedule.

If your school or you know another school that are looking for games in the same weeks.  Contact Coach Slack at 936-536-6321 Ext. 121!

Groveton and Lovelady back to back!!!! Nasty!!

Forget them, 55. Schedule some "cake walk" 2A teams, like EC and Newton. I'm sure H-D would have two real easy wins right there.  ;D

So I'm guessing that Hardin and Libety have scrapped their week 0 game seeing as how HD is playing Hardin week 0.  That was a great game and it was 1-1 over the last two years.  I wish they had kept that!

That will be funny haha..  HD will go 1-9 and be a playoff team.  Colmesneil is the the only game on that schedule HD will win...maybe..

What a joke...UIL sure makes me wonder sometimes.
Love to see folks poke fun wih H-D. Yes I agree tough schedule overall, but it will prepare us for district. Groveton, Lovelady and Normangee will be very tough!! In district WH lost it's three best players to graduation and they claimed their fluke win last year. H-D has Tyler Drake, Austin Edmondson and Garrett Hickman coming back. I see it like this.

1. H-D
2. WH
3. Iola
4. Colmesneil

That will give HD a chance to be in the playoffs.
Don't be sad little buddy. 2A will take it easy on them pour Pirates. lol. H-D always dominated D-ville in 2A. I went 3-1 against ole Levi and Logan Moore. lol

Wakeup this is 2012 not 1990's, HD is 0-2 against the Pirates the last 2 years and it will be 0-3 after this year.

A fluke win is a close game. A 57-20 score is a fluke? And WH still has a ton of young talent from last year.

West Hardin All District Players

West Hardin 1st Team
Calvin Ridge -JR QB (5 total TD's in the 57-20 "fluke" win. Oh and it was at the "tough" HD stadium.)

West Hardin 2nd Team
Justin Kelley- JR DL (4 sacks in the HD game)
Mason Lawson- SO DL (3 sacks in the HD game)
Robert Ryan- SO OL (6'2 around 260)

All HD has to say about good players last year is Welch (Kicker) and Braxton (Newcomer)
Yeah Drake, Edmonson, and Hickman are all coming back, but wait, weren't they on the team last year as well and got beat in a "fluke"?

Edmondson was kicked off of the HD basketball team for insubordination.  This could carry over into football.  That would hurt HD's chances of anything next year.

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!

    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
