Nederland @ Central Feb 3: Predictions

Jags will be fired up and jump out to an early lead.  Nederland will claw back into this one late in the third period and after that, in the 4th quarter, it will be a back and forth affair with Central making plays late.  Very reminiscent of the first matchup of the year for these two where we won by 4.

Remember though, Ned was up by 14 in that game in the middle of the 2nd Q, then this happened:
-Central made a bucket, lead 12
-Central steals ball (no foul called), Ned player gets upset. Tech called.
-Central makes both FTs, lead 10
-Central makes 2 more FTs from the foul, lead 8
-Central makes a 2 point shot, lead 6
-Ned misses a shot on the other end.
-Central makes 2 more, lead down to 4 for Ned.

All of the sudden, it's halftime, and Central has the momentum and is PUMPED! Ned heads to the locker room with heads down and demoralized.

I do agree though with SOME of your prediction Soulja.  ;) Central jumps out early to a big lead (Lazeek says 6 points is big  ??? ). Ned has a big 3rd Q while playing blanket-like defense again. Frustrating Smith and Co.

Central is forced to foul late in the 3rd, and Ned makes their FTs. Ned holds on to win #30!

Grades came out two weeks ago so it SHOULDN'T be a grades issue (unless the grading period for BISD is different). If he was injured, one would think that he would sit on the bench with his teammates??

[/quote]Good.  He was in the stands, but really close to the bench.  He also went with the team to the locker room at halftime and came out with them.

Winning District is icing on the cake (who doesn't want icing though?). What you do in the playoffs is MOST important when measuring SEASON success. Playing in the toughest Region in the stateimages it that more challenging to make the State Tourney. 8 teams are currently ranked in the Top 25 from Reg III, with Nederland sitting at number 9 (27). Making the Regional Tourney this year is a realistic goal, but we need to focus on one game at a time.

What can I say.  I have gotten to be friends with some people from Nederland, and I love the way English does his thing!!!!  Very similar to that of Sutherland.  Don't always have the most talent on the floor, but always seem to find a way to win!!! ;) ;)

If it is any consolation Soulja, I will be pulling for the Jags in every game except when they play the Dawgs!!! ;) ;)

[/quote]Well, I pulled for H-J for the game last night... and a little fact, I do  have ties with Silsbee as I have a close relative that is a from Silsbee.  So, in that district and in 3a, I'm a Silsbee fan.  8)
