I was thinking the same thing Dawg. ADJUSTMENTS! According to most on here the Ozen and Central coaches can't coach and it is their superior talent that is keeping them in the game. Can't wait to see the adjustments. Maybe we will actually see a real play or set this time around.

I guess that depends on how one interprets talent.  From my perspective, there are a couple of different ways (probably more) to arrive at your conclusion.  In one corner are those whose evaluation is based on speed, athleticism, and shake n bake capabilities while in the other corner are those who believe that skill and understanding/achieving the game objective are major components of "talent".

DIDN'T REALIZE THAT A UNDEFEATED TEAM IN DISTRICT IS MAKING ALOT OF AJUSTMENTS. IF MR. ENGLISH IS MAKING ALOT OF ADJUSTMENTS IM GUESSING HE MUST HAVE A FEW WEAK LINKS IN HIS TEAM. EVEN A BLIND SQUIRREL CAN FIND AN ACORN EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. 8)

Just my thought, but I think the team undefeated in district has the most talent. I respect Coach English and know he does a fantastic job, but sometimes the players dont get as much credit as they deserve. Great Job Dogs and hope yall continue to perform well!

The nederland players don't get the credit they deserve. The coaching is outstanding, but the talent on the team is extremely underrated. Just because they may not be as athletic does not mean they lack talent.

I have never said anything negative about coaches ,but  i made my judgement based on watching both games. as for as talent is concerned that does not mean any thing if kids don't buy into what you are teaching .Nederland had home court advantage and I think that is what gave theam a slight advantage ,that wont be the case this time around so lets just see what happens both wins were close its not like they blew either team out.

The game of basketball is full of adjustments always.  I am suggesting (and so is the Nederland record) that Mr. English is quite adept at choosing where and when to make his adjustments.  I further suspect that every team has weak links and, in order to exploit them, the opposition must also make adjustments.  To this point, Mr. English is clearly the superior "adjustor".

I agree  Dove ,you have to buy into the system and I think the Central game was closer than the score indicate .but ok ,blowout one day left to see what a difference close to a month makes.

I know for a fact Central can beat Nederland. Seem them play quite a few times. Will be a good game. Just dont want people to put all the praise on Coach English, when the players deserve a little love too ;)

WELL ONE THING IS FOR SURE NEDERLAND WILL LOSE ONE OUT OF THE NEXT TWO GAMES. INTELLECT HELL HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT A 9.39 INCH BALL IN A 18 INCH HOOP. MAYBE SOMEONE CAN REFRESH ME ON THE OZEN AND NEDERLAND SCORE WAS THAT A BLOW OUT. AND IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOU DO IN DISTRICT ITS HOW YOU DO AFTER DISTRICT PLAY THAT SEPERATES THE REAL TEAMS.
