I saw the game I think that the call at 2:45-7 was a bad call. The guy celebrating wasn't even the guy who made the hit. I think he was just happy that the guy dropped the ball.  But things happen and the ref made the call he thought was right at the time. But I dont think you guys D can contain our offfense  we r too fast

Remarks from the Austin American-Statesman newspaper.  Quote "We've got Coldspring, we've got some blood in our mouths," Wimberley junior Reed Jones said. "This is a big win. We're going to be pumped, ready to go for next week. We're going to get it done." Unquote.  A little Bulletin Board fodder.

See you guys in the state game after we defeat Monahans. You had better bring your best.

Yea. Hope to be posting with you next week if my Trojans make it through. You guys are very good. I believe you will have an easier time than us.

Yeah, haha we definitely got our tougher matchups out of the way. Not discrediting Monahans but Carthage and Gilmer are two elite east Texas football programs. Carthage was the most anticipated matchup since they knocked us out last year and we wanted to get revenge. Gilmer was ranked as the top 3A team in Texas. I'm not saying Monahans will be a breeze and we really shouldn't look past them, but I can definitely say they don't have the talent like Carthage and Gilmer.

According to highschoolsports.net the past three games Argyle has played have had a combined ranking of 22. Prosper - 12, Carthage - 9, Gilmer - 1. Numbers don't lie. That's neither here nor there. I'm sure we will be talking a lot next week about whatever match up comes about. Good luck to Wimberley and Coldspring and may your game be injury free.

Actually all of the polls that I have seen have Chappell Hill, Wimberley, and Coldspring 1,2, and 3 all year.  I think we got a really good chance in this game.  We gotta continue what we did against W-OS.  If the offense doesn't make the mistakes in the redzone we should be good.  The defense is better this year than last.  I hope we can come out with the same result as last year.  Plus we need to win so we can get back to Dallas.  It was awesome watching my Trojans in Jerry world.  The only thing that lacked was a win.  Hopefully we can change that this year.  I think Reliant should get some of these title games in the future.  That would be nice.

Argyle might want to take a lesson from UH and not count your chickens before they hatch.

The difference is Argyle is not overrated.

One other thing have the Oakhurst matchups, thus far in the playoffs, been against good teams or has your team played bad?
You really dont need to worry about Coldspring were overrated !!!!!!!
You will be better off going to Kirbyville and watch them play basketball.  Lol

Monahans and Vidor very much play the same type of game, a strong running ball control offense with an equally strong defense. Go ahead and ask some of these SETX Teams about how everyone was going to beat Vidor they were too slow, or too inexperienced. The same thing has been said all year long with Monahans. And just so you know, in the playoffs it really doesn't mean a thing who you beat last week or the week before that. Sure it sounds good but doesn't give you any points on the board for the next weekend. While I do believe Monahans will end up losing this game, don't take a strong running team lightly because of who you beat the previous weeks. Will definitely be listening to this game best of luck to both teams!!

Not to make any excuses, but our offense was down the last two games before WOS.
Sherman had the flue, he was playing both ways because Trapp broke his neck and is out for the season. Monroe was banged up and the starting Sr guard was out with sprang ankle.
The O was healthy and back in playing action when they played a very good WOS team.

In reference to the playoffs, I am not doubting any teams ability I am just giving my prediction. If more information is necessary I will give my opinion on it and back it up. I believe that Coldspring is a very good team I just wanted to get the facts straight.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
