Coldspring played there last night. It's a really nice stadium !!

60-21 CS

Last night's game proved alot.  One, Navasota is the real deal. They are a great team!! hands down they gave us a good ol butt whooping.  Thanks, Navasota !! Two, it exposed what our weakness is.  Hopefully, after last night the coaches know what areas to work on and come back friday and play like a state ranked team. We need to work on our secondary. We have to be able to defend the pass.  The last 2 yrs its been the pass that have beat us. (Catherage and Wimberly)  Three, we can not be a one deminsional team.  We HAVE to find a passing game SOMEWHERE.  We don't have to go to the spread but we need to be able to pass to keep the drive going.  I hated to see MY TROJANS lose. We all did. But theres not a doubt in my mind that we will bounce back (like kirbyville's loss) and play like the team eveyone know us to be.  I'm not beating my chest saying we are the greatest, But sometimes a butt whooping will bring out the greatness in someone.  I'm willing to bet that it was a long quiet drive back to coldspring last night.  Probably could have heard a pin drop on that bus.  But i bet everyone on that bus last night replayed that game in their heads and thought about eveything they did wrong or what they could have done better. And that is what will make them better !!  Once again thanks Navasota !!

I don't know about that one.  I will say this, Coldspring wasn't ready for what they got firday night.  King is a very under estimated team.  I was really impressed with what i saw friday night.  We (coldpsring) need to start playing trojan football.  It seems as if we were letting them control the tempo.  As far as 2 td's i didnt see that.  They had some big pentalites that was senseless.  Then a personal foul late in the game was cruitial.  Then there was the questionalbe fumble call where king fumbled on their 2 yd line and the CS picked it up in the endzone and the refs said the guy was down.  King will most defintiely be a force this season.    Now as far as CS, we need to get more conditioned ( too many cramps)and starting playing that smash mouth football that we are used to playing.  We have some young guys filling some big shoes.  We have 2 more tough road games the next 2 weeks.  Hopefully we can bounce back next week and come out playing Trojans football.

I saw the game I think that the call at 2:45-7 was a bad call. The guy celebrating wasn't even the guy who made the hit. I think he was just happy that the guy dropped the ball.  But things happen and the ref made the call he thought was right at the time. But I dont think you guys D can contain our offfense  we r too fast

This deep in the playoffs anything can happen.  We were the underdogs last yr and everyone picked us to lose every game and we made it to state. Its still 22 kids on the feild at the same time.. anything can happen.

Should be a good one.  I hear Argyle is the favorite.  If they knocked off Gilmer and Carthage... must be the real deal.

After listening to the game tonight I think that the Trojans D will have another lightsout performance.  If our Offense play like they did last night, Wimberley will have a rude awaking come Friday night. Last yr we pulled it off with a win. I'm hoping the same this yr.  Praying for a injury free game !!

Last year did you not see that Wimberly player, after the whistle, grab a receiver from behind and slam him on the ground? Only because he man-handled him blocking all night between the whistles. That was Wimberly. He was ejected for fighting, so no they didn't have sportsmanship, nor have we ever had a player do that. our player was not ejected and luckily didn't have any injuries. I talked to the Receiver he learned a life lesson that night to always protect yourself. All week we waitEd for this game. I figured if we won I would get on here and serve up ALOT of crow.  But I think that our boys spoke in OUR favor on the field.  WOS your team is a great team !! No one can take that away from you. played your hearts out tonight. Hope to see you next yr in another great game !  I guess CS isn't overrated after all !!
