Austin Walter (Crosby, Soph.) leads 19-4A with about 1,020 yards. He could eclipse 1,500 yards but Crosby has been throwing the ball so well lately, they are more balanced offensively than earlier in the year.

EC Glenn Roberts, along with other Buc starters, are on the sidelines resting during many of EC's second halves. Glenn could put up far bigger numbers for sure, but we are glad to see Glenn rest!

What if you have a team that splits there runs pretty much evenly between four guys? Do you count all the guys? Or are they individuals? And if they still make enough yards to be in one of the groups do you give them extra props cuz honestly they did more cuz most of the other teams have only one guy getting most of the runs. Vidor has 3 or 4 guys getting it.

There needs to be a separate level for Hemphill's soph QB Justine Twine.

Through 7 games, he has over 2300 yards rushing.

Someone shed some light on this please, is this a true story?

Yes those stats are correct. That kid is in his own league. If he keeps producing those kind of stats through his senior year he will definitely get a D1 scholarship. For sure.

Bronze for 500+ yards :D jk those guys are really good at Vidor. They just have stable of backs, where most teams have one featured back. In the end, it's what team goes the furthest.

A sophomore producing these numbers is scary. Either this kid's offensive line is amazing and his speed is off the charts or the competition is pretty weak. Either way, 2300 yards rushing through 7 games is a very tough task regardless of the strength of schedule or whatever. Especially from a sophomore. Barring injury, this kid has a bright future ahead of him

I would love to see the kid play.. I still think Sherman Gilbert should get more love.. Hes averaging over 13 yards per carry, can catch the ball out of the backfield or line him up wide, and he also is a return specialist.. If he had more carries and didnt split them with another back, HIS NUMBERS WOULD BE SCARY.. i mean 100 carries for over 1300 yards and 30 total td's.. GO TROJANS

Considering CS is the smallest school in 22-3a, they are blessed with one hell of a coaching staff.  My bet is Barbay is saving Gilbert for the play-off run.  Bottomline, their o-line makes anyone of those backs shine, but the credit goes to the coaching staff, considering their o-line replaced last years o-line entirely ;)

good call trigger.. I know they dont want to overwork him and why should they.. you are dead on.. The coaching staff over there has done a great job having those guys ready to play. To replace a whole oline was kinda of scary going into the season.  They have gotten better with each week i have seen them play.. great post
