LC-M 17-10 upset over PNG!!!!

Considering the lowest point total by PNG in the three years under Faircloth is 21, I don't see LCM holding us to 10. So if LCM is to pull the upset it will be a high scoring affair.

Our defense was one of the teams to hold PNG 21.

You know, after the week PN-G had had before that game, I have to wonder what Faircloth said to those boys to have them rally like they did in the second half. Going from down 20-0 to the state's #2 team at halftime to a 27-21 loss on an interception made with a minute left on the clock is a heck of an achievement. There were two different PN-G teams that played that game.

At the time y'all were ranked #5 and we just dropped out of the rankings 2 weeks prior. (we were #9, but we were upset in the last game of the regular season, by Waller) So technically, we were the underdogs.  Y'all were 11-0 & we were 9-2.  It was a great 2nd half by the Indians though.

Is anyone considering the idea that maybe if Jeff Mathews wins this game and get a playoff birth then maybe he might rest his starters a lil but and not worry about winning the last two games?

Now you starting to sound like central did last year! Saying they were gonna rest starters. Please, no way he rests starters, ain't nothing more coach mathews would want more than a victory over us. Let's not make no excuses, let's leave it on the field. I expect a hard fought game just like it is every year! And yes with the indians on top!

Well...  this could certainly be your "go to excuse" if PN-G beats Vidor.  You can light up the message boards with your "we are better than PN-G, but we rested our starters to prepare for playoffs".    ;)

Can't wait!

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
