All I can say is WOW!! WHAT A FREAKING GAME!!! Hats off to both teams.... a pretty well played game... no one fell apart except the series of Ozen's bad snaps.... and that Green kid has a CANNON for an arm... OMG!!! he can throw it a mile in a tight spiral.... Congrats to my Pirates!!! WELL FOUGHT GAME!!!! Neither team gave up.... WOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!! again WOW!!!

Congrats to Both Teams.  The game could have easily gone either way.  And Green has an unbelievable arm at QB.

Special Hat Tip to Quirante from Vidor.  The win was a full team effort, but #23 was really good tonight.

Good Luck to Both Teams next week!

Vidor played nearly flawless fb game.Killed a few drives w/penalties but excellant game plan to keep Ozen off da field on O.Green has a great arm but w/under 2 min.in da 4th on a 3rd and 4-5 yds.needed he made a bad decision. He got flushed from the pocket scrambled loose to the west side w/3 blockers in front he launched a spiral incomplete. He only had to run a yd or 2 for a first dwn and more to keep the drive alive.Instead they punt to Vidor who turned it into the game winner. My take on the game Vidor (small/quick)but disciplined/conditioned w/excellant coaching.Ozen big/but not disciplined or conditioned.Thought the screen pass was there for the taking but didn't do it.Pirates did what they needed to do to win.

[/quote]This is exactly what I got out of the game.  The screen pass I was telling the other Vidor fans was there all night.  I think Ozen should have been going to the air more.  Vidor's little roll out pass was there all night.  They did it like 2 ot 3 times.  Each time, Ozen didn't cover it at all where there were 2 receivers opened.  I think it was great that the Vidor Coach seen this and went back to it in crunch time. This was a great game. Ozen did shoot themselves in the foot wit the bad snaps and Trey Green did make a bad decision by throwing that pass when you could have just ran for a first down and then ran out of bounds, but that deep pass was there.  The pass was maybe a half an inch off.  That was a tough break.Congrads in hanging tough and winning this game on the road, Pirates.  This was a very entertaining game.  Also, I enjoyed the sports talking to the other Vidor fans (i sat on Vidor's side).

BMTSoulja1, you are an honorary Pirate. I'll get you a black and gold jersey if you want. Always welcome on our side of the field....I'm just broken hearted I'm not there to watch. Hopefully, by the PNG game I'll be back in the US to watch some football. Back to Manchester United and Everton....just not the same.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
