Got verification today that Silsbee has two transfers coming in this school year.

'6"5 junior from New Orleans

'6"4 junior from Port Arthur

From watching that Silsbee team at the summer tourney, that was all they were lacking, a good solid post player. Looks like they have two now. ;D

How nice that must be - HJ will have their hands full to compete with WOS for the final playoff spot behind Silsbee & HF.
I disagree. I see 21-3A like this:

1. HJ
2. Silsbee
3. WOS
HJ will not have the size to compete with 6' 5" & 6' 4" post players.  It will fall on HJ's wing & guard play to be competitive with Silsbee, HF & WOS.

Is he really up to 6' 7"?  I was thinking a couple of inches shorter.

The Tigers have to get a quality coach in place to be able to compete with HJ.  If that happens and these two can play then we may just offset enough of that HJ height to be able to compete with them this year. Otherwise,  Hardin County Havoc won't be too interesting.

Based on their ability to bring in multiple all star players, I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff Capel takes the reigns in Tigerland.

No ability necessary. These just "fell into our laps".

Just so fortunate. ;D

I don't know about the two new players. I have heard that there is a possibility of one new player. I am pretty confident about the coaching situation. I spoke with one applicant Friday who has as many wins as any coach in Southeast Texas and is a pretty good coach. Can't say anymore at this time.

Real question is "who is gonna coach the transfers?"

Between the winningest coach in Southeast Texas and two new All star caliber players who are 6'5, I'd say the future holds no limits

Dove there is no need to worry.  There is a reason the kid from PA is moving and trust me he will fight the same issues in silsbee as he did in PA.  Also, we will SEE if the NO thing happens.  Highly doubtful  ;)

    • No chance in hell that this pos is found guilty.
    • After his silly conviction, President Trump has raised over 200 Million dollars!  The people are seeing through it!  Excellent!
    • Let’s see if joe biden’s words about no one is above the law, made after the rigged trial of President Trump, rings true with his po💩son.  Hopefully, but I’m not going to hold my breath, they put the sorry sob in prison.
    • I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73
    • Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class. We invite you to follow our boys as they go to state.  We welcome the greater SETX communities as honorary Yellowjackets.  Tune in, watch live or come to Round Rock personally and join us in supporting the Chester Yellowjackets.  Go ‘Jackets!!! ⚾️💜💛⚾️🟣🟡⚾️💜💛⚾️
