[/quote]Looking at the 2007 Ozen team should be a good indication.  That team was not really talented at all.  But they marched to state on the shoulders of SUPERIOR coaching.  Probably the best job of his career.  This Year's Ozen team talent wise may be just as good or even better than that team.  But one will never know.  Central have a Stud guard that have only gotten a little better as he should be light years better than he is now.  Boutte would have this kid head and shoulders above the rest right about now...

[/quote]Oh okay, I see what you are saying. I saw a kid in the Central/Ozen game drive to the basket and had it blocked 3-4 times. But with good coaching, he would have had his floater or mid-range game to use, IF he knew how and when to use it ;)

[/quote]Nope, the kid broke past his defender. Wide open for mid range shot. Obviously wasn't taught what to do afterwards and tried to contend against guys 6 inches taller.

[/quote]Totally agree with you. I'm just use to seeing what I call God gifted athletic types being able to create their own shots and at the same time making their teammates look good in the process. I just don't see this type of athlete in our area. Closest I've seen was D. Frank @ Ozen in recent times.

Obviously it's hurting at the junior level. Last season I saw a middle school school team in Ft.Bend who were the supposely the top team in Houston area. They had two players on that team who could actually play good basketball and carried the team. PlayStation, texting, etc.,etc., bah-hhh!

I don't know about the other two high schools, but the freshman at Ozen last year beat every team they played by close to 50 points.  Sounds like talent to me.  AND, if you had seen them play at middle school level, you would know there was talent.  So, what had happened to them since last year??  I watch two of them sit on the bench game after game, and do not play.  Put them back on JV, and let them get the experience. That is the only way they will learn.
