The "little man" is now 9 years old and almost as tall as you are.........LOL!!!!  We are great and enjoying baseball, basketball, HJ hoops and LU football and basketball!!!  Same ol, same ol for us!!!!

I broadcast all of Silsbee's Friday night games and do the KFDM/CW Saturday games. We still do Vidor, Kirbyville and Newton broadcasts here on the site on Friday nights.

We still have our weekly preview show as well on Wednesday nights.

I corresponded with Mr. West back in June about this very topic. At the time, he said he was looking to possibly add a stringer (freelancer) to cover LU and to provide mid-week player profiles, etc. It was really a matter of money. The PA News does not have a large staff and it does cover several high school programs as a priority. I won't/can't defend any lack of coverage since I haven't read a PA News in a while but I can say that Mr. West had plans to cover LU (at least as far back as June) so I don't know what happened. Obviously something derailed those plans.

Wow...that was a harsh article!  I forgot how he bashed football back then.  I've always enjoyed his coverage of basketball but I think cancelling football was a huge mistake and hurt the university immensely.  To not have football at a public school/university in Texas should be criminal.

I like how he mentioned that it was an embarrassment.  I never considered it an embarrassment.  I just considered it another excuse to have a  good time back when I was in college at LU.
