I highly doubt they were mandatory, more likely that the coaches implied that anyone planning on touching the field would be at those workouts.

This is now the second longest thread in SETXSports history (for High School Football)....#1 was "BH vs. PNG Act 2".  3 of the top five top 5 longest threads have been BH-related.    Thanks for the support, Dayton Fans, we could not have done it with out you  ;D
