New Scoreboard and Sound System @ Lumberton

I was told that Lumberton has purchased a 32 foot wide by 8 foot tall LED Scoreboard which will also be modified so it can have a large video screen displayed on the top of the scoreboard in the future

Also I was told that a major Sound System upgrade will take place and that the new system will be mounted on top of the scoreboard

Looks like Lumberton School district is planning to have a nice scoreboard with a large video screen just like PNG and Beaumont but are doing it in phases 

Congrats to Lumberton  ;)

Lumberton getting a new scoreboard is long overdue. Last season the only thing that worked on that scoreboard was the score and time. Quarter, timeouts, down, yards to go, and yardline did not work.

Actually, the booster club tried to buy a new scoreboard a few years ago but was shot down by the administration.

Yeah that guy is annoying. But didn't hear that alot last year when we played them. I think I heard him say a couple times "Crap!!! another PNG TD"

Actually he is a Baptist Preacher and good man.  I don't think he said what you said.  Still seething about the loss 2 years ago I see.

No hard feelings about the Raiders beating the NDN's 2 years ago. The game meant more to you guys than the poor year we were having. The better team won that night.

      I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73

      Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class.
