I guess the coaches looked at the "valuable" part of the award. There is no doubt in my mind that Viverette (sp) was the Most "Valuable" Offensive Player for the Barbers Hill football team. Without his arm and legs, they finish no higher than 5th. Now, his "value" as an offensive player in 19-4A is debatable.

No they shouldn't have had those two superlatives.  The QB was not even the best in the district, look at the stats.  Their offense was the 5th best in the district, and their defense was #3 in the district.  So why should the MVP's come from this team?

I got his bad feeling Crosby got screwed!!!!!  
If what is true by the upper posts.........
that a 4th place team got 1 super (O MVP with 18 or 19 turnovers??? cant remember it was so high!!!!), 4 first team, 2 second team
and a 3rd place got 5 first team, 5 second team........
that would be [b]9 out of 22 first teams was taken by just them[/b],
and 8 out of 22 second teams..............not much left for the top 2 teams......
This is how I can already tell this is screwed up...............
[b]8 honor men, 5 1st, and 5 2nd from a 3rd place team[/b]......that is [b]18 out of 22 starting players [/b] by a team that finished 3rd and was 1 and done in playoffs!!!!!!
This sounds like evey coach just put most of his kids for everything......... their has to be guide lines!!!!!!!

The coach only nominates his players (as he should). It is up to the remaining coaches to elect them. Are there politics involved, of course. You would need to speak to you coach to find out what actually happened in that meeting.

don't know where your post went hitman, but I know dawson beat friendswood.... but friendswood also beat dawson.

Crosby was better the night they played dayton.... fine.

Crosby may have a better TEAM than dayton... fine.

the accolades are for the individual players and dayton had a very good d-line and those three deserve the recognition.

Lights.Out10 - Crosby's 5'6" center wasn't 1 on 1 with tony the whole game so stop pretending. The picks are based on the body of work over the whole season anyway.
