Central vs. Livingston/Livingston wins 10-6

Maybe someone shouldn't have taken Livingston lightly or been looking ahead to next week.   ;D  Take a page from the Indians book, play it a game at a time, never look farther than your opponent this week.  ;)

Could someone from the Central game explain what happened. Why was Central held to only 6 points? Were there turnovers or poor field conditions?

Near as I can figure there was poor field conditions on both sides of the ball.  I'm not picking on you... it just cracks me up cuz I hear so many people blame field conditions for a loss or a turnover or whatever.

I just made it in.  I was the designated driver and almost got lost on the way back to the BMT, pluss had to drop the people off, so I wasn't trying to avoid anyone.

I want to give props to the Lions.  they executed their game plan to perfection.  They moved the ball well, and didn't turn the ball over.  On defenseM they filled in the gaps and prevented our backs from cutting against the grain, which we were accustome to doing all year.  They converted on 3rd and longs and key 4th downs.  Great win for them.  Don't see how they lost all the games that they did.

Our kids played hard.  But there was a few obvious thinga that our coaching missed in this game.  HELLO, the ground was muddy and slippery.  we call plays that require our kids to cut back, which they were losing their footing.  You have to adjust.  Run right at them!.  That's what the Livingston team did.  they ran at us in a straight line. The chances of you slipping are minimized. 

Second half, we did make adjustments. we passed on that scoring drive.  Then we went away from it.  I figured that we learned from the Ozen game. 

The backbreaker was with 5 minutes left.  it was 4th and 3.  Our coaches paused and then called out the Punting team.  WHAT?  The punting team?  You punt back to Livingston, who you know will hold on to the ball for long drives and we only had 2 Time outs.  It was smooth sailing fr Livingston after that.  They just needed a few first downs and Bam.  Game over.  I don't know if the cold weather caused our coaching staff's brain to freeze, but they were not thinking, which caused us the game.  Unacceptable!  You then want to argue with some fans that say 'we needed this lose'.  You say ' The kids were looking past Livingston and focusing on PN-G.  BS!!!  I guess we're content with just making the playoffs.  HELLO!!!  We had a possible district championship on the line.  I can't believe I drove all the way up there to see that foolishness.

We had better get out butts in gear.  Because I tell you what.  PN-G will.

If we go to Babe with this same Braindead Coaching I've seen tonight, we won't only lose the last game ever at Babe, but PN-G will embarrass us and run the score up.  They will be ready.  The question is will we be ready?  Unbelievable....

Couldent  have said it any better..I wonder Why do u go away from the pass and that's the reason you score..Plus Punting on 4-2 with 4 min against a running Team..Wow you cant really blame it on the kids cause their just doing what their coached to do..I mean come on coach..You may have to gamble sometime.Your gonna have to if you waanna go deep

Kids busted their butts.  I just hope that we have a game plan that will work.  PN-G may have the best defense that we've faced.  If the passing game is working, let's not go away from it.

I was at the game and let me say congrats to Livingston. The other thing is, that has got to be the WORST 4A stadium I have ever seen. The field conditions were at best horrible. The field did hamper the Jags more than the Lions. The central backs could not make their usual cuts and every time the QB set to pass he couldn't keep his footing. However, the game was won up front. The Livingston line flat out WHIPPED Central's on both sides of the ball. Livingston controlled time of posesion, so much so that Central had only two posesions in the second half. The positive for Central is, as much as they got pushed around their defense only gave up 3 points. They scored the other 7 points on a pick 6 off a screen pass. I talked to the coaches and they were worried about this game becuase they kids kept talking about PNG all week and were overlooking this game. Well this week they finally have PNG, so let's see if they can get their focus back and play a more inspired game next week. I'm hoping they will.

We did have footing issues, but we should have adjusted.  Livingston had to play on it and it didn't effect them at all.

I'm fine, thank you Soulja1.  Please answer a few questions for me.  Why the sarcasm?  Why do you have a problem with correct English?  Is this just a reaction to a game your team lost that they should not have lost?  And forget the lame response that this is a sports board and not an English class.  Given the chance to express one's self it should be done correctly no matter the venue.
