NP. Can't argue with the rankings though, other than a 1A team over several very good 3 and 2A schools. Depth makes a big difference.

I tried to explain what relative strength means and even gave a disclaimer at the bottom...I'd say Evadale couldn't play within 28 points of anyone in the top ten but that is not type of poll I constructed.

Fan Alert but here me out regardless 6.  Crosby  (10)  Took out frustration on Dayton after years of beatdowns.

Crosby moves from 10 to 6 after a shutout? of a district opponent... i guess i have only one question and its one of Bias.

If Nederland would of shut-out and beat PNG 28-0 when they played in mid county madness i find it hard to believe you wouldn't of put them in the top 3. Their obviously not the best team... but i expected a bigger surge than up four spots.

my ranking are just by your logic

"PAM      (7)  You beat NS you go to #1" mine is you beat an undefeated rival whom you haven't beat in ten years you jump into top 5, i think everyone's giving Crosby to little credit because of 5 turnovers (4 fumbles 1 interception) regardless I'm sure the Broncos had the ball atleast 8-9 times which means the Defense still had to rise up to the occasion.

Maybe its my Biased maybe its yours or maybe its a combination of both... Dunno but id liek a response.

I think Lumberton moves ahead of Dayton and Crosby.  Jasper beat Kirbyville and should be ahead of them.

Jasper's poll is based on relative strength within their conference.  Kirbyville is the higher ranked team of the two at this point.

As far as Crosby needing to be 5th instead of 6th..I rank those teams based on who would beat who IMO.  I think Crosby would get smoked by any of the teams ranked ahead of them.

Hup, you contradict yourself. You say you rank Crosby lower because you THINK they would lose to the teams ranked ahead of them. But you rank Evadale ahead of teams that you say would beat them. That's not very credible.

BTW, a team actually beating another team carries more weight than a speculative win. ;) ::)

How many times do I have explain that the 2 ranking systems are different?

The 4A/5A RANKING is heads up ranking.  The 3A and Under is based on RELATIVE STRENGTH to be fair to the smaller schools.

Remember...

The true winner of these polls is the last team left playing...

Hopefully some of these teams will be playing in December.

Being ranked #1 now doesn't mean anything if you get knocked out of the playoffs in week 1.

Just ask Lumberton last year how much their district cochampion carried them into the playoffs.

Except theirs would have much higher stakes than just needing to be paid back — it could mean losing their home. 🤦‍♂️

    • It has been frustrating seeing the lack of coverage from virtually EVERY media outlet.  We (Chester) are in the SE Texas coverage area.  There are no radio broadcast from our area, and Ch 12 is the only one that has even mentioned it.   I know I could have gotten donations to cover a SETX Sports broadcast.  Oh well, water under the bridge - we aren’t as big as Silsbee, WO-S or PN-G.
