It is way to early for this type of talk. But I can see you are fishing for some people to say the mustangs will break the drought and get in. Well, I for one believe this will happen. I think except for Orangefield and BC the district as a whole will be very down. I know we finished second last year, but graduation hit us hard. Silsbee and HJ are still very young. So 3rd place is probably the mustangs to loose.

Why do you call this next season the beginning of a dynasty.

BC has had a very strong baseball program for many years. How many district titles do they have since going into this district? I think the only season they didn't finish on top of the district was the '07 season when they were second to Jasper, who was the eventual state champion. Even when competing in the larger 4A disrict, the little town of BC still could hold their own.

The youth programs of the community have done an excellent job of preparing the young talent for their later careers.  Not to take anything away from the success the younger youth have had (I loved wathing the BCLL team on ESPN) but to say the beginning of a dynasty is coming kind of takes away from the hard work and success their predecesors have had.

BC has enjoyed a very long run of success. I had the opportunity to watch my son participate these last two seasons and that just made it even more special. He has graduated now and both of us look forward to keeping up with the program in the coming years as fans of BC Baseball.

I know a lot about BC baseball...in fact I played on a winning team in finishing-- in 1959 and have followed local winners since that time...

My point is that I think the best is yet to come.  Look at what is happening across the board in BC younger diamond sports.  They are spread out everywhere and doing quite well!

This is not taking away from the past; it is being more than optimistic into the immediate future and beyond.

[/quote] Hampshire lost all of of there varsity players except three if im not mistaking so it would be hard for them to compete with anyone for the third spot

Now let's see...........Orangefield returns every player except one starter.  They now have two Big 12 signees and have inherited a good baseball player in the Huckaby kid.  The Bobcats should be ranked # 1 or #2 in the State, much less the District.  Ask any baseball folks and you will see that the Bobcats are the team to beat.  My Cardinals will be fine as well, but let's be realistic.  The Bobcats took us to three games in the playoffs and we have since lost a stud in Kellogg as well as our graduates. No one should shed a tear for us because we have some super young players coming.  But there is no subsitution for experience.  With all that being said, we will be defending our District Title with all the pride of our tradition of quality baseball. 8)

You have no idea what you're talking about! WOS baseball is horrible! They look like a bunch of Usain Bolts and Asafa Powells out there trying to field ground balls. HF baseball is more prestigous than the New York Yankees and will find a way to win. Go learn something!!

I am a BC fan but i think OF will be the team to beat. BC will have their hands full with them. If what i read about HF was true about them loosing most all their varsity players i just dont see them in the top three. But this is baseball ANYTHING can happen. The BC / OF game this year will be awesome i cant wait!!!
