Congrats to all of these players....especially my boys from Barbers Hill.

Jay Burditt pitched an 1 1/3 innings in yesterday's all-star game. Jay also had a very strong showing at the combine on Monday.

Unfortunately, Colby Henscey did not play due to an injury. Henscey was hit by a pitch last weekend while playing in the Houston Heat Invitational in Brenham. Henscey will out 2-3 months w/ a cracked elbow.....another tough break for a great player and a great kid. Let's hope for a full and speedy recovery.

Thanks for the kind words. The prognosis is very good. Thankfully it was a clean fracture with no displacement. No need for surgery. He'll only be in a cast for a week and then he'll be in a hinged brace until it heals. He'll be doing rehab as soon as he's in the brace. Another positive is that it is the left elbow (non throwing). The doctors say it's just a slow healing fracture but the elbow will be like new once it's healed. The only concern would be him coming back too soon and taking a hit on the elbow before it's completely heal. He should be 100% by the 1st or 2nd week in August. The timing is horrible but everything happens for a reason. Thankfully he had a great year which generated some looks early on. Hopefully something good will happen for him in the near future!

Sorry to hear about the injury---he is a great kid and player. He will definitely play college ball.
